In our first visit in 11 years it is saddening to see the boardwalk in Philipsburg actually abandoned at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Almost everything shuts tight once the cruise ships crowds split at 5 for their onboard chow down. Almost all restaurants are...closed as a result. This hotel has a dining room, however, and it is a fine one, though pricey. We started with the crispy calamari, and were delighted. Served promptly and hot, the light breading was tasty in itself, and was enhanced by the tangy sauce side. The missus ordered the meal-sized green salad and was impressed. Quite large, chock full of cold fresh veggies and accompanied by an orange vinaigrette. The warm buns and herbed butter were a perfect complement. I chose the cheese/burger, cooked medium rare, and it was made to perfection. Large, nicely dressed in lettuce, tomato, pickled beets and dill pickle on a large bun, it hit the spot. The fries here are really good, too, fresh and hot. With 3 draft Heinies, one bottle of sparkling water, $94USD before tip (the 15% service charge doesn’t go to the server).More

What great service we had from Kelly and the Ocean Lounge staff at the Holland House Beach Hotel! Truly enjoyable day in every way. Definitely would 100% recommend for a stay or just a beach day if you’re on a ship like we were. All...we can say is YABBA DABBA DOOOOOOO!More

We booked a table at this restaurant for lunch with a party off five. 4I was invited by friends that came back to visit the island after living here for many years. We had a great table ocean front. Great wines and cold drinks! Service...was friendly, professional and our lunch arrive promptly. Everyone in our party enjoyed with they ordered the restaurant and ambiance. I would definitely recommend Ocean Lounge at Holland House as a great venue for your lunch! Compliments to the HH team.More

We ate lunch here after a 3 hour ATV tour of the Island (which I also highly recommend!). It is flat-out amazing — I recommend it to everyone! The service is friendly and professional. The food is divine! We started with a really fantastic burrata...(had to ask for bread separately), and had a poke bowl (AMAZING!) and the chicken satay (spelled here sate) — which was better than we ever expected! Really, best-in-class all-around. Oh, and the vibe is FAB! Would also be great for a dress-up dinner. We saw groups here, and large families. Can’t recommend enough.More

We completely enjoyed our dining experience at the Ocean Lounge. It is one of a very limited number of restaurants open after 19:00. The service level is quite elevated as is the décor & overall vibe. The menu is varied offering the highest of quality...choices for all palates. We thoroughly enjoyed the mahi mahi & hamburger while enjoying nice crafted cocktails, beer & wine. Great location for a later dinner. Please do enjoy your experience.More

This is a spot we visit several times while visiting St Maarten. Love the Pina Colada's that are made at the bar. The atmosphere is Caribbean Dressy Casual. There is a beautiful tree with hot pink flowers and very comfy cushioned seating. the view is...just wonderful. Great place to grab lunch and a cocktail.More

I loved the dining room at the Holland House. It had an upscale feel and the food options were also to my liking. I had their breakfast once and dined for lunch twice. I recommend the mushroom and spinach ravioli for sure. Their burger is...also very very nice. The service was friendly and I for sure will revisit here.More

My solo dinner last night at Holland House was excellent. I was recommended here by the staff at my hotel (Alicia’s Inn, another winner!). I didn’t have a reservation, and they were busy on a Friday night, but with a 20 minute wait at the...comfortable, well stocked bar, they worked me in. The Caesar salad was huge and excellent, while the calamari was superb but a tad smaller than I expected. That was made up for by very good rolls with olive oil. Service was very attentive without fawning. The wine list has a very good variety of styles and price points. The beach view is also wonderful.More

While we did not stay in the hotel (but plan to do so), we had an enjoyable day on the beach and an outstanding lunch in the beautiful restaurant. Beach service was 5 star from the outgoing, friendly and thoroughly enjoyable attendant who was friendly...and efficient, he goes by the name of Yaba Daba Doo! His assistant in drinks and anything else we wanted, was Peps. Highly recommend this property for the day or longer.More

Yesterday we had an excellent diner the seaside in this beautiful restaurant. The carpacio and buratta were delicieus and the tuna with risotto tasted very very good! Then we had the desserts we love: icecream and crème brulee. Compliments to this chef! But the waiter...Nicolas made the evening wonderful with his amusing stories! Also the other waiters were serving excellent!More

We randomly picked this place and we’re so happy we did! This restaurant was so good that we ate there EVERY day! The staff was so friendly Rey and Davia treated us like we knew them, so friendly! The food was outstanding in all levels!...Drinks were perfect! Even the music was perfect, so much that Davia was kind enough to give us a small playlist!! I can not recommend this restaurant enough! Perfect in every way!More
