About
Mango Tree Restaurant, like the resort itself is tropically elegant. The al fresco dining pavilion looks out over a small river stone pool and takes in the magnificent Petit Piton and views of the Caribbean Sea. Stonefield Estate Resort features 3 exciting menus, rotated each day.Our chef and his culinary team use all fresh local market ingredients to make the freshest, most delicious St Lucian flare. All herbs and vegetables grown on property are organic and the former plantation still yields the seasonal citrus, mango and breadfruit which are incorporated into the daily menus. The Mango Tree Restaurant features a special vegan menu, as well as a children’s menu. And to stir it up true Caribbean

We stayed at Stonefield Villa Resort 11 nights for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. (see resort review) The Mango Tree restaurant was a daily delight. Who wouldn't be delighted eating breakfast, surrounded by nature, overlooking the ocean & pitons? The homemade breads & jams were...delicious. The cocoa tea was a morning treat. The Sunday steel drum band & Thursday Caribbean buffet were both fantastic! Next time we would consider the meal plan based on the quality of food in a breathtaking setting. A perfect spot to enjoy the sunset with a tropical cocktail! 🍹🌴🌋🌞More

We stayed a week at Stonefield Villas and ate on premise most meals. We took a few dinners off property but frankly regretted that. If you are staying at Stonefield I would highly recommend signing up for the all-inclusive option. It is a very affordable...option which we didn’t do. The view and service are exceptional. Both are tough to beat. Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. You get fruit juice, a fruit plate and bread with homemade jam. I had French toast as well as pancakes but hit on the best option, their omelette and stayed with that. Lunches were equally good. We ordered the tuna melt, Greek salad, grille fish, and fish burger all good. The hamburger was also good. Dinners are exceptional. Thursday nights are special. They have a bbq buffet and entertainment which was fire eating and limbo. I’d give this place a solid 9 all the way around. Check out our Stonefield Villa review.More

We were glad this restaurant had at least a few vegan options as we are vegan, but the food was a little lackluster. The two soups (potato and sweet potato) were ok, the noodles wrapped like spring roll appetizer was delicious and the tofu and...tomato sauce dish was just ok. The views were really beautiful, wish they could improve the vegan options.More

Food was consistently good. We stayed here 3 nights and had two dinners and one lunch and 3 breakfasts. Not necessarily memorable meals but all were quite enjoyable.

What a pleasant surprise! I did so much research on restaurants in soufriere to go to and we decided on the mango tree based on good reviews. We accidentally went during cocktail hour for people staying at the resort-but despite that we were treated SO...well we had a blast. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They chatted with us, brought us free cocktails and offered to take pictures of us. This dinner experience is at the top of the list of our st Lucia trip.More

Our lunch at the mango tree was excellent. Good food at a fair price. Service was slow but food and drinks were worth the wait. Beautiful view.

Thank you for dining with us at the Mango Tree. We are sorry that you found our food expensive, however, we are very confident that our pricing is more than consistent with similar restaurants in the area.

This really should be a 5* review. If you don't want to bother reading a rant then just read this bit: Excellent venue. Very good food. Wonderful position with great views. Good live band. Really friendly service from some truly lovely people. Outside guests (like...us) are made very welcome. BUT...... Cheralyn/Sherylynne(?) must I'm sure have many fine qualities, but customer service is not one of them. She should be working behind a desk somewhere well away from the public, and should definitely not be serving happy guests on a happy night out. She obviously hates her job nearly as much as she resents the people she's paid to serve. She's stone-faced, unsmiling and unhelpful, and such a contrast to the rest of her very happy team. First she argued with me, literally argued, when asked very nicely to bring our bottle of wine please before taking our order. She argued quite strongly that I was wrong and that I should order food and wine together. I didn't. We would please like some wine while we choose. So presumably to make some sort of point she then proceeded to delay the bottle by over 15 minutes, then at least another 5 minutes more before returning to take our order. When the order came she had made two mistakes, one of the them serious - completely the wrong dish. But to save further embarrassment we said nothing, and fortunately the dish she had delivered really was truly delicious, so actually no regrets. Each time she visited our table she was cold, unfriendly and frankly she would have really spoiled our evening had it not been for every single one of her colleagues who were delightful, cheerful, dancing to the music and creating a really happy atmosphere. OK, rant over. We had a great evening in spite of dear Cherylyn. So we would highly recommend The Mango Tree for lovely food, with (mostly) lovely people, in a lovely setting.More
