Great quality food, consistently rude service

I've never had a bad experience with the food. Rolls and sashami are always fresh, delicious and well worth the price. The calamari and cold sake are a must! The waitress (never seem to get her name) is always rude, looks uninterested in her job and never comes to check on customers. I mean we literally have to beg to get another drink when our glasses have been empty for over 15 minutes. Last time visiting was on my birthday. We were starving and wanted several variations of rolls. The waitress (same one I always seem to get everytime I dine) insisted that it was too many rolls and refused to put in our order. I mean what's the big deal! It's my birthday and we had no budget. We were forced to place a smaller order. The roll was delicious (like I said previous, never had an issue with food quality). We finished our roll and waited and waited for her to come get the empty plate and take additional food orders, but after taking so long to finally come to our table, I was hungry and frustrated on my birthday and just asked for the bill because I wanted to leave. She clearly thought we were leaving because the 1 roll filled us and rudely gave this chuckle under her breath as if to say "see I told you it would have been too much food". When reality is - I left the restaurant almost as hungry as I arrived. I'll still return simply because I enjoy the food, but will definitely request another waitress next time. There was a waiter who was constantly checking up on us and he was an absolute delight. I didn't get his name but would love to have him everytime I dine!

Amazing. Thoroughly recommend

This restaurant is popular- so book. It’s popular for a reason! It’s amazing. The sushi is better than in London, in my opinion. The setting is beautiful- day or night. The platters come on a wooden boat and are very impressive to look at and taste! Came on 2.1.20 and the manger was amazing! Thank you for your amazing service. Also special mention to our waitress Sharon. All staff were working harder than any group of people I have ever seen and as a result there were lots of happy customers. Thanks so much.

Sushi by the water

After doing a bit of research to find the best sushi in Rodney Bay, Ritual Sushi was definitely a great decision. We were there with another couple and dined on the deck overlooking the marina. We ordered spring rolls and edamame for an appetizer - both well prepared and delicious. Our server recommended the right amount of food for our entrees and was helpful in making recommendations. I ordered a crunchy roll (pictured here - it was tasty and filling!) and miso soup (very salty, wasn’t a fan). My husband ordered the Hamamiji roll (awesome) and a House salad (large enough to share with me). Our guests ordered the King Kong roll (spicy and very filling) and another crunchy roll. Overall we thought the food was delicious (except the miso soup) and we loved the ambiance of sitting by the water. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for fresh sushi and enjoy casual outdoor dining!

slow service and mistakes in order

painfully slow service despite not been busy. had to find someone to ask to be seated. slow service between every thing, waiting to menus, drinks order, wait for order to be taken and then for food to be served, dessert order again very slow. worst of all asked for yakisoba with no chicken. told no problem. order repeated back to us "yakisoba no chicken" food served again "yakisoba no chicken" only to eat to find plenty of chicken. too hungry to wait again to complain so just picked out the chicken. waiters noticed as I saw them look over but no one came over until the meal was finished at which point they said "yes the chef has put chicken in - sorry, are you allergic?" be too late if we were ! very blase a out the whole thing and again service still didn't improve after this mistake with no real or sincere apology!

Disappointed.

Just had dinner here this evening. My husband enjoyed his food but he’s not too picky, but my salmon and supposedly avocado salad was bland and tasteless first of all there’s no avocado (and never seems to be whenever I dine there) I have had good meals there in the past but the lacklustre service and food have really put me off for good I am sad to say. It seems their passion is gone and it just a case of getting customers in and out as quickly as possible. No proper customer service and at almost $200 with only a beer it’s not cheap.

Sushi is great but that’s it. We came for our special meal as it was our friends birthday and it was a very expensive place to eat. We waited 2 hours for food as they forgot to put our main through. It arrived cold & in a TAKEAWAY CONTAINER? When we said about this they told us to write our names on the containers and they would reheat rice & prawns which is not safe for food hygiene and also not what you expect when you are paying $70 a meal. So we asked for some sushi to replace it, and at the end they made us pay for it all and also included a service charge. When we asked them to remove it, the staff then all decided to glare and talk about us around the table. We have been in St Lucia a long time and had some incredible meals (I’ve only left good reviews) and this is the first time I’ve been really disappointed. Sad because we were genuinely really excited to try some sushi and it ruined our friends birthday.

Delay, indifferent food and poor management response

We booked for a party of six and arrived on time : we were the first in the outside area . Our waitperson was personable and capable and welcoming: rhe food took over an hour to arrive and when it it did it was was cold and not great to be frank . Every other table that arrived after us appeared to get served before us . Starters arrived after mains and soups failed to appear at all. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed and at no point did anyone approach us to apologise for the delay or offer an explanation . After about 90 minutes we asked to speak to a manager and when she finally appeared she simply said that they had a lot of take aways to deal with . We said that was their problem and why had no one come over to apologise explain or in fact say anything . We cancelled the remaining starters and advised that we were not prepared to pay the high price of the mains for such indifferent quality and a service period by then of almost two hours. We made it clear that we had no problem with our wait person but the fault lay clearly with non existent management and a poor kitchen brigade . We were offered a 10% discount on a very large bill which we accepted: it was not an enjoyable experience

Birthday Lunch

Had lunch with my daughter for my birthday, she usually do take out there, trying everything on the menu and she loves it so much, that she always have me there for my bithday lunch. So it was good atmosphere as usual, great food and superb team service. The staff does an excellent job in providing the best customer service one can ask for of a restaurant. The food is of great flavour and the chef is consistent in the taste and outcome of all meals leaving his kitchen. Keep it up team, great work!!! See yall soon.

This was the fourth time going here. I personally do not eat sushi, but friends love it. The first time was not bad as i had the shrimp tempora. The next time i order teryaki while the rest of the group order a boat. They had almost finished the boat before my teryaki was served. The next trip 2 of us ordered teryakis and it was brought out with the boat for the rest. The last and final time was a complete disaster. The order was messed up. Again 2 people order teryaki, one order sashmi and the others order a boat. We were told the did not have crab available for any sushi and would not reduce prices on any rolls missing the crab. Instead of 2 teryakis we were served one and inmplace of the other a surf and turf roll. A 25 minute delay before the other teryaki was served. When the bill arrived, we were being charged for the surf and turf roll which was never order. The server refused to address the issue and we then asked for the manager. She was not willing to entertain the idea we did not order the log. Qhen we pointed out the it was 25 minutes to get the 2nd teryaki served she agreed to adjust the bill. Neither the server nor the manager were accomodating nor willing to accept their mistake. Our visitors from the US could not believe the attitudes and remarked the server's attitude was not pleasant from the beginning when trying to determine sushi rolls without crab. Almost like she did jot know the menu.

Fantastic!

Had a lovely meal as a party of 6. Was quite busy over carnival period but lovely atmosphere and we were well looked after. Food came quickly and we had the love boat fantastic wooden boat filled with delicious sushi. Great food, great service and beautiful location overlooking the marina. Highly recommended.

Disappointed

Was totally disappointed with my visit here as the service and food is usually on point. Extremely slow service, cold tough calamari we were falling asleep at the table before our food finally arrived. It will be a long time before we return here. However given that they only pay the waiting staff EC $7 per hour you get what you pay for and they are obviously not paid to care about the customer. This makes me very sad as this had been my favourite place to eat. ;(.

Sushi in the Caribbean

If you want good sushi, this is the place to go. You would never know this restaurant is in the Caribbean. We always get a large mixed sushi plate to share between the 2 of us, eddame, sald and drinks and come away satisfied. The restaurant in in Rodney Bay Marina allowing for great views as well.

Horrible

Horrible experience. I usually always come here however today I decided to come in for lunch since it was my favorite place to eat. I’m a local and there’s a white man who had been tribally rude to the staff however I’ve been seating here for over an hour without any food where as the man has gotten each and every item ordered. It took them 30 mons to get me my drink and an hour just to get me 1 of my appetizers. I told the waitress I’ve been sitting here for an hour trying to get my meal and she told me fearless for the other people. Like girl what? Excuse you? Anyway it was once my favorite but I will not be returning.

Bad Value, Great Atmosphere.

St. Lucia tends to struggle when it comes to the quality of Sushi. The spicy seafood soup is incredible, I recommend it for an appetizer. Great location and service. The sushi prices are incredibly expensive, $30ish for a 6 piece California roll.

Service was very slow. It took over an hour to get our sushi. Had an awful seat by the door and I kept on slamming during the meal. Sushi was very skimpy and the avocado in my roll was a quarter of the size of my thumbnail. It was so much rice in each piece and very little fish. Fried appetizers were greasy and not great. Service were friendly and very nice and apologetic, but I would never recommend or go back.
