Highly recommended for visitors and locals, who are looking for a tranquil environment with lush green natural surroundings with a beautiful view of the town of Gros Islet: Rodney Bay and it's signature Marina and it's environs.
The customer service at this place is so terrible, I would never return and I will never think of or recommend persons to have lunch here. OK let's start from the beginning. When looking for a spot to eat the locals include myself would always...recommend Ginette's. Apparently the food is suppose to be very tasty with lots of options i.e. variety. Ugh not the case when I visited. The menu was limited to a few options....the woman at the counter has NO interpersonal skills and after dealing with her, I WOULD NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!.The food was not great either. Save your coin people and go somewhere else. Like Flavors of the Grill.More
I remember this customer . You came in when lunch was almost over. I.e most of the sides and meats were done. And did have a bit of a why did I come here attitude as a result. We have numbers available on our social...More
This is my favourite place to get a lambi meal. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is always chill and laid back with good music and the service is wonderful.
Small local BBQ place located on the left side of Monchy Road if you are heading up from Gros Islet Road. BBQ dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, go after 6 p.m., she seems to fire up the BBQ then for the evening. Chicken, pork, conch...and fish at times BBQ'd to perfection is the main attraction. Garlic sauce on the pork is recommended as is the BBQ sauce on the chicken, home made. The sides are delicious as well; macaroni pie (Mac N Cheese), fries and salad. Four of us had Chicken or Pork, sides and 10 Piton beers and the bill was 132 EC, tip incl. A bargain for St. Lucia. Pitons 4 EC each. Had leftovers to take home. Good local food, casual seating; picnic tables and some indoor seats.More
Awesome moment in this incredibly good restaurant : I was with 6 friends and we had heard about this place so we wanted to taste the "Ginette's conch" but when we arrived it was closed... however, they accepted to open just for us, on a...sunday, at noon, to please us and regale us with the best conch we've all ever eat. THANK YOU GINETTE !More
You are most welcome. We do what we can when we can. And so happy you were pleased with your conch.
While the involvement of the restaurant's patron and ultimately the quality of the portions are somewhat sliding, Ginette's still scores as a gem in the rough. Definitely get the barbecue pork with garlic sauce, and a touch of Baron pepper-sauce. I dare you to try...having a conversation with the irresistible magnetism of grilled lambi (conch) in your lap.More
Love the ambience, secluded but relaxing. The food is great and mostly local. The atmosphere is quite good, you can eat while enjoying the fresh breeze.
We stumbled upon Ginettes Place looking for a good feed and got a great meal. it was nice to find good local dishes on the menu and they were interesting and delicious I liked the relaxed space and easy St Lucian way with things
If you want to taste what real local St.Lucia cuisine should be then Ginettes Place is the place to be. Take it from me i am a local! Come hungry leave full!
We went there particularly every day of our trip while here on the island the food was delicious and the service was good. Lots of dishes offered and a variety of local drinks. The price was great and the location is rural and really an...expression of the Lucian life.More
We Went to this place to get some seafood & it was totally not what we expected. Ambiance wasnt that pleasing neither. Not interestred in going to this place againMore
Sorry the ambiance wasnt you expected john. But we do not advertise to be anything but a spot in the country with local home cooked meal style. And we would've appreciated the feedback on the day as well so we can see what we can...More
We were taken here for lunch by a n friend of ours on our last visit. It was wonderful to be able to experience traditional n food rather than the more international fayre served to visitors. Our meal was delicious and truly memorable. We will...definitely be returning on out next visit.More
