About
The restaurant is already discussed in your forums. I just can't find a listing for it so that I can review it. I don't know the street number (not much on the internet about it), but it is on West Coast Rd, Soufriere, St. Lucia. It was very clean and well decorated. The view of the Pitons and the food were both excellent. It is on the West Coast Rd north of Soufriere.

This was a nice restaurant serving a buffet lunch. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. I eat gluten free and all but two things in the buffet line were gluten free so plenty of choices. They also served a very tasty juice with the meal and a small dish of ice cream. The food was authentic and tasty and the view was great. Prices seemed reasonable.

The beacon restaurant was part of our land and sea adventure. After debarking the catamaran and getting our buggies, our guide took as straight to the restaurant for an early lunch before all the rest of the tourist groups arrived. It's a buffet style lunch, but the food was authentic, fresh and very well prepared unlike other buffets we visited on similar tours. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the fried fish. The views from the ace are amazing, you see everything, the Pitons and Soufriere without any obstruction, they have a special place to take pictures. The bathrooms were very clean too. I am glad went around d 11am, because right when we were having desert, the buses with tourists started arriving and it got very very busy.

We visited this restaurant as part of a day trip, and this was the lunch stop. The restaurant is about 5 min drive up the hill from Soufriere and the views from the terrace are amazing, The whole setting is very colourful in a typically Caribbean way and this is one of the things I love there. The food is self service so you can help yourself with everything you like. We thought it was quite tasty (especially the lentils stew) and we left with full happy tummies. The toilet facilities could do with a bit of renovation, I believe one went out of service while we were there but there were others that were in better condition. Overall we would recommend this restaurant for the good local food and the fabulous views down to Soufrier town and the bay.

My friend and I did the lunch buffet for her birthday and though we arrived a little late, the lovely staff accommodated us fully, and even decorated our table with balloons and confetti and candles. It was so cute! I'm a bit of a picky eater so options were limited because of my dietary restrictions (but that's on me). What I did eat though, was enjoyable. My friend had no restrictions and she enjoyed the food as well. We both went for seconds (possibly thirds). I particularly enjoyed the cheesy breadfruit pie - absolutely delicious! The dessert was quite a generous portion of cheesecake and ice cream. Tasty but it was still frozen rock hard solid so it took us awhile to consume. The staff patiently waited until we finished our meals, even took pictured for us and thanked us for coming. They definitely enhanced our experience and my friend had a wonderful birthday lunch! Oh and that view - incredible!

We were on a tour of St Lucia, when our driver, Mark of Rising Sun Taxi Services, took us to the Beacon for lunch. The first thing you notice as you walk in is the view, it’s spectacular, and then your nose gets an amazing smell of delicious food, it’s a buffet style service, but that doesn’t detract from the superb food on offer. Try the green bananas in garlic sauce, if they are on, just amazing, and so was everything else, how I managed the sweet I will never know. Last but definitely not least, are the staff, they are so friendly and helpful, to an Englishman abroad, who didn’t know what he’d been missing. So if you are on a guided tour, or out in your own hire car, get yourself up to the Beacon for a great meal.

I ate at this restaurant as part of a tour/excursion. The Staff was super friendly and inviting. The lunch served was a buffet. I need to eat gluten free and the staff let me know the items I could eat which was all but a couple of the options! Great tasting food. They also served a tamerind juice which was delicious and ice cream for dessert. Price was decent at $28 for two people. And the view was amazing!

We stopped off at the Beacon as part of a Soufriere Private Tour, and whilst the front looks unassuming, just wait until you walk in for the surprise. The terrace has unobstructed view of the Pitons, Volcano and Soufriere, so good that you almost have to pinch yourself to check it's not a picture! The staff are so friendly, welcoming and hospitable and the buffet lunch of local St Lucian cuisine is devine, the fish has to have been the best we experienced on our visit. This magical little restaurant was the perfect end to a perfect trip. Its not far from Castries so would highly recommend a taxi trip out if you want to experience true St Lucia hospitality.

We stopped at The Beacon on one of our excursions for lunch and I was immediately taken aback by the beautiful views of the pitons. You get to enjoy a sweeping view of Soufriere, the pitons, and the jungle all while you eat home-cooked food. We absolutely loved the fish that they served. They also gave us chocolate ice cream afterward. Even if you aren't a fan of the food, i would still check this out just for the gorgeous vista.

We stopped here on our way back from the volcano and botanical gardens and enjoyed a lovely traditional Caribbean buffet lunch in a very pink place! Very very tasty and great value at $40 EC per head. The views of the Pitons from this place are absolutely incredible! We would also like to thank Theresa who looked after us so well. It’s a pleasure to see someone who takes great joy in what they do. All in all a must visit if you are travelling back to Castries from a morning spent in Souffriere. Highly recommended for lunch.

View was amazing. Facility was nice. The food that we got to try was good. But they were not in anyway prepared for a lunchtime crowd. This spot is about 25 min from the hot springs so a lot of tourists stop here. There was only 1 cruise ship in today - we were told the day before there were 4 - so you'd have thought they were used to a lunch rush and they weren't. We waited in line for over 30 mins and between running out of plates and various dishes I never got to try everything. And while we were in line we saw the servers taking plates of food out to tables of locals while we stood there. Left us feeling as if our business was neither wanted nor desired and if we could have left at that point without paying we would have.

Had the buffet lunch today- very tasty. Chicken, fried fish, plantain, spanish rice, coleslaw, green salad, green fig salad (like a potato salad) and green figs with garlic sauce. Buffet included lemonade and ice cream. Friendly staff. You can't beat this view!

Stopped here for lunch as part of the Land & Sean Excursion with Coconut Bay Resort. The local cuisine was excellent and the staff was very helpful accommodating our daughters gluten free needs. The view of the Pitons and St Lucia were just amazing.

We were at Diamond Falls and talking to a tour guide who recommended The Beacon for lunch. It’s not in a location you’d ‘happen upon’! It's a bit of a drive up from Soufreire. The woman who is the host was lovely. She walked us through the buffet so we could see the options before committing. The selection is great, there’s enough to try different things, but not so much that it sits out for long. And there was salad, which I always appreciate at lunch. The food was great! We were expecting to be wowed by the views, which we absolutely were. We expected the food to be fair, but it was wonderful! We particularly loved the fish, the rice, and the pigeon peas. Lunch also comes with a fruit juice and a scoop of ice cream. The juice was great, but I didn’t want to fill up on juice when the food was so good. The views were unbelievable. My son said it was worth the cost of the buffet ($16 US) just for the views. I do agree with other reviewers that the bathrooms were a little lacking, but that would be my only negative. If we are ever back in the area, we would absolutely go back. If you are going to be in the area, definitely go!

We arrived around 1pm and were able to get the table at the best spot for the photos. The only problem is that the waitress didn't care much about the great photo, so we had a post in front of us. The food was very basic, banana in half of the dishes, not much meat. Dessert was an ice cream scoop from the tub, not that great with chocolate sauce on. Not the best variety to try local food. They charge $18 per person, sweet juice is included, and tap water. Only cash accepted, no cards, Grey economy sadly.

We stopped here for lunch and were wowed by the views of Piton! It's an open air restaurant with lots of tables that have great views. There was a buffet style lunch with chicken, fried fish, rice, and veggies. All homemade and very tasty. Service is wonderful. We loved it!
