since when does thai food for two cost 300 euro??? Oh I forgot, on St Barts it does. The food is pretty good and I would return, but I just can't get over paying this much for a meal that should cost about half.

We thought we would have a slightly cheaper meal and try Thai food which is usually a reasonably priced restaurant trip. I looked at the menu on line a week before and thought the prices were quite extreme for Thai but then not surprising since we were going to St. Barths. At those prices, I was prepared to be bowled... More

A reliable, relatively new restaurant with a terrific Thai/Asian menu, in Gustavia. The atmosphere is moodily dark, with gigantic blood-red lighting fixtures, and always fun. An always welcoming manager makes arrival here a consistent pleasure, and the meal never disappoints.

Ordered the chicken and shrimp raviolis as an appetizer, was very good. (Price 18 euros) Then I had the chicken in a citronnelle and coconut milk sauce. It look more like a soup!! There's about 8 oz of a "liquid" sauce and maybe 2-3 oz of chicken. It was served with a bowl of sticky rice. (Price 28 euros) For... More

Black Ginger, a Thai restaurant, offers a welcome change of pace i St. Barts eating. The place is charming, the staff is delightful but anyone used to good Thai food will be disappointed by the bland plates here. maybe one should ask for a bit more fire!

The owners and the staff were great. The grilled calamari was excellent, the grren curry chicken was just ok. My husband had a fish dish he said was good. Very nice wine list.

Ate here with a friend on my last night in St Bart's. We started off with a refreshing Ginger Martini, steamed dumplings and spring rolls, then moved on to roast duck. Arrived on the early side and enjoyed very good service, but as the restaurant filled, that tapered off. Still a great place and would return.

Absolutely amazing food, great service, and beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended!!! We spent a week in st Bart's and ate there twice. Only because we found it at the end of our trip! The owner is very sweet and clearly takes a great interest in his restaurant. If ever I return to st Bart's it will be my first dinner.
