When we arrived we met the owner, Giovanni and his brother Alberto at the door. They made us feel like family and we had a nice conversation about music , current events, and past experiences. My only wish was my hotel was closer, so I could have had a nice bottle of wine to company my meal at this friendly... More

Great preparation, superior service, and nice change from the other places in Sainte-Anne. We tried them all and would say Casanova is at the top. The owner/chef greets you and checks to make sure everything is good. Food was outstanding.

A really nice break from all the accras and Colombo one has had in the few weeks spent in Martinique. There was a hustle and we had to wait for a real long time, which is the main reason for three stars and not four, for our food. The fact that both the chef and the waiter came to apologize... More

Delicious italian dinner served in a nice terrace off of the main street. The food was a real treat. Beautifully grilled calamari starter followed by caper olive and anchovie pasta. Will go back this week again. My partner enjoyed her bruschetta, ravioli and tiramisu.

My wife and I had a most enjoyable dinner here. The food was excellent. We chose the selection of antipasti and enjoyed every one. My shrimp pasta was bursting with flavour and the service from the owners was first class. My only regret is that we will be leaving the island before we get a chance to eat here again.

We had one of the best parmigiana di melanzane at this restaurant. Real italian. Don't miss it. Also the pasta was superb. Very friendly place. It gives you a break from caribbean and french cuisine.

I agree with the other favorable reviews. This is a little gem. I ordered the night's prix fixe menu, starting with a salmon filet appetizer, dekicately flavored, served hot in fine oil, with some nice green vegetable melange. Entree was described in English as fresh water lobster. We might say sauteed crayfish, large and tasty, served with pasta in a... More

We toured Martinique, Dominica and Guadeloupe. I would securely state that this is the best restaurant in the Caribbean. My wife being Italian, we normally try something else than Italian food when abroad as we tend to be skeptic. We are very demanding in what concerns food as we have immense pleasure in eating well. These two Italian brothers at... More

Casanova is our very favorite restaurant in Martinique. Giovanni and Alberto are brothers from Italy. Gianni is the owner and chef extra-ordinaire and Alberto is the perfect host who speaks Italian, French, English, German and Spanish. The food is exceptional and each plate cooked fresh to order by Giovanni. He offers specials each night and for us one of the... More

I was in the Caribbean's and I want to eat something Italian after several days of local food. For this reason, with a friend, we have checked on tripadvisor and we choose Gianni, al Casanova. We went there and we were surprised by the original Italian flavor in the food as well as in the friendly atmosphere. I am Italian... More
