Excellent food, very friendly service. They were very helpful to us who speak pretty poor french, and were happy to discuss menu options with us. The chef clearly cares about his food and can be seen looking out on the dining room from his kitchen,...making sure plates are going out in a timely manner. The tartare appetizer was immensely delicious, and the main courses - duck and the chorizo stuffed squid were both phenomenally cooked and presented. Excellent excellent excellent! Merci chef and team for a wonderful mealMore

Absolutely stunning meals at a beautiful open-air restaurant. Beautiful preparation and presentation made by the owners with care. A small, well thought-out menu rotating monthly. Highly recommended, we would absolutely return. The restaurant is located in an interesting spot consisting of a clay factory and...artisanal pottery village. It was more remote than we had thought and as such requires the use of a car or else cafeful planning in advance. The bus is a bit of a walk to access and doesn't run in the evening and taxis must be arranged well beforehand.More

We went to La Mandoline for lunch since it is a popular restaurant and hard to book in the evening (at least we did not plan well enough). We were not disappointed. Our banana and melon juice drinks were excellent, so was the fish sushi...appetizer, the tartare tuna, shrimps / salmon / scalops & vegetables dish, and the praline + super coco ice cream dessert. All was very good, in a relaxing setting (covered outside but ventilated). We were happy we were able to go just before the restaurant closed for the low season. We would definitely return next time in Martinique.More

We came here after reading the reviews and were not let down. The location is beautiful, the service attentive but nit intrusive and the food was phenomenal. We had smoked marlin maki so start which way exceeded expectations. Be warned the wasabi is hot! For...main we both had tuna steak which was beautifully presented with delicious local veg and an incredible sauce. We shared a desert, not because we were still hungry but because of pure gluttony. The peanut creme brulee was surprisingly light and super tasty. I'd love to visit next weekend but we will have left the island.. Only negative is mosquitoes but it is the tropics, and there is a small bottle of repellent on the table. Just amazing food well worth the visit.More

La Mandoline is a very pretty restaurant located in the Pottery Village on Trois Ilets. If you go by night and are driving you have to watch out for the signs as the village is easy to miss. The road leading to the restaurant is...slow going as it is dirt. Factor that in when you are trying to be on time for your reservation. That said, the food is beautifully prepared, the service comes with a big smile and the portions are a good size - finally! We started with the Maki Tuna which was delicious. Fresh tuna wrapped in seaweed and served with a salad and VERY hot wasabi. For our main course we had the Fisherman's Plate which was a combination of different fish and prawns. The fish was outstanding and the prawns were so delicious we spent another 5 minutes trying to extract the flesh from the end of the tail so we could get every last morsel. The Ice Nougat for desert was an explosion of flavors in the mouth. The Crème Brulee was perfectly prepared with a peanut flavor twist. A culinary evening worth every penny.More

The food was absolutely excellent and the restaurant deserves the first spot in Martinique. Only issues are the mosquitoes because of location so be prepared but very well worth the risk.

During our week in Martinique, this meal surpassed all others. It was most surprising because the setting would not leave one to expect a fine French cuisine restaurant in this location (Potterie Village). We went for lunch and tried to reserve a table for the...next evening, which was, sadly, not available. I heartily recommend you dine at this establishment! I also recommend that you make a reservation--or you will not get a table. Between four of us, we tried the duck breast, the pork, chicken and salmon with poached egg. All were sublimely prepared and served in beautiful presentations. The service was quick, efficient and courteous.More

This was the best meal my boyfriend and I had while in Martinique! The ambiance was great and the service was even better. Our waiters were very attentive and made an effort to speak English. The food was delicious and the presentation was thoughtful and...beautiful. My boyfriend got the fisherman’s plate which he said was superb (and he is from Maine!) and I got the duck which melted in my mouth. Highly recommend if you are looking for a top notch meal!More
