Stopped here for lunch while exploring Fort de France. The sandwich was good. But it is a little pricey.

We stopped in Lina's by chance while wandering the streets of Fort-De-France. The place attracted us with the sign outside indicating it was tourist friendly. Indeed the staff were helpful and the food was fresh. Not gourmet, but more like a quaint deli.

it was our last day in Fort de France and we were hungry and decided to stop at Lina's since we read about it in our guide book. My friend and I both got the vegetarian salad which consisted of some pasta, sun dried tomatoes, salmon, black olives, some greens and oil and vinegar were provided on the side. It... More

Lina's is a charming sandwich shop that has salads, drinks, panini, desserts and everything you might like for a meal during the daytime. It is very clean and bright, with two levels and people who linger with their computers. It was a delight to find this place in Fort-de-France -- an oasis on Rue Victor Hugo.

This is a French franchise / attempt at the Carnegie Deli --- it ain't close; but its as good as it gets here. Come only if you have been away from the states a long time; otherwise go to HyperU and buy the ingredients and make your own.

Lina's Café is a very precious place in downtown Fort de France, because you cannot find any place like this nearby. It is cozy, you can read here, work, without being disturbed. You can drink coffee, capuccino, tea and eat cookies... The real trouble is how ridiculously expensive some prices are.
