Thank you for this amazing experience. It was our Honeymoon date night and we loved this place. We had the lamb, steak and our waiter suggested the spicy crab - AMAZING!!!

Food was excellent! We both had the filet, shared the filet empanadas, tuna tartare, and beef dumplings (my favorite). Found this place last minute on our trip and don’t regret coming here. The cockatiels were excellent too- expensive- but yummy. Highly recommend!

This is a little hidden gem. Unbelievable food and the service was impeccable!!! The steak was probably the best steak we have had in years if not ever!!!! We will be back!!!!

We went there as a family dinner late at night and being not the first time which we frequented, hoped to enjoy a good meal, as they always have complied with. Nevertheless, there were some crucial flaws with the food that were not acceptable. For...instance, the appetizers took a long time to arrive, one being a soup which are usually already prepared. During the entrée course, a side dish arrived cold, the meats ordered were both not evenly cooked and had the wrong desired cook term, as well as wrong portions and wrong meat cuts. The dessert arrived frozen. To compensate, they gave the dessert on the house, but automatically charged a high service tip to a high bill, to which we had to recharge the bill and provide no tip whatsoever. Although the waiter service was good, as it always is, the food service went severely downhill, making one question himself if the trip was anyway at all worth it.More

So I read that Rare 125 is the #1 rated steakhouse in PR and heard good things about it from a coworker. I went for a late lunch a coupe pf weeks ago. The tables and chairs are more café like and not what you...would expect in a steakhouse. They put on their Facebook page that they “have the freshest seafood around.” I saw a picture of the mussels on FB and asked the waiter if they are fresh and he did not know but he checked with the chef who said they are frozen. I do not go out to eat frozen food I inquired about bread and was told there was none. We settled on the beef short ribs and a 15-ounce sirloin, along with fries. My son really liked his steak and it looked good. My short ribs were a very big portion but heavily salted, as were the fries. I could only eat one third of it, it was like an assault on my palate. Service was acceptable. But not superior. The issue was with the meal. The steaks were tough, & flavorless, charred on the outside, and had to be sawed, not cut. The Mac&Cheese, vegetables, and sautéed mushrooms, were also disappointing. Just bland. We tried several of the..."exclusive" drinks, including the "Smoky Smoke". Very average, and extremely over priced. My "Smoky Smoke" contained what seemed like a sip of liquid amongst a 4oz. Ice cube. The exceptions to my review were, the Scallop appetizer, although it was 4 modest scallops, and just slightly overcooked, were very fresh and tasty. The other was a chocolate martini with desert. Also fresh and flavorful. Appetizer, Dinner, drinks, and a shared desert for 3, was just over $255. I would not consider the estimated range of $15-45 accurate.More

I visited Rate 125 with my business partner on June 2021. The first thing I noticed is that Rare 125 is kind of hidden, no sign and even with apple maps I was not able to find it. Thats ok by me because, the less...people inside the better. Once inside i looked at the decor and loved it. It is really cool, our waitress was awesome and all around the service was top notch. We started with the tuna tartars with malanga chips and it was heavenly, I really enjoyed it. We both ordered ribeye, I order mine medium rare and my partner asked for his steak to be cooked medium well (please forgive him). The steaks came and I noticed that my steak was medium not medium rare but I didn’t want To send it vack because it looked amazing, and once I tried the meat I was in love with it. It was a generous portion and I ate it all. Our sides were mashed potatoes and mac and cheese with truffle oil (Yeah I like truffle oil, please forgive me) and it was so good that i almost licked the plate). I tasted the mashed potatoes and they were silky and very smooth but they lacked a little salt (my partner did not mjnd). I strongly urge you to give Rare 125 because if you don’t like it you will definitely Rare in my bookMore

We were celebrating my niece's graduation, a very special moment, bottles of wine were requested and I had to ask why it did not arrive at the table and to top it all I had to return what I ordered three times!!! Very unpleasant experience...and for sure I will never return! The three visits that I have been to the restaurant, the meats never come out at the desired, for being a place that specializes in meats, it leaves a lot to talk about. On the other hand, they have ill-mannered waitresses who do not serve you as every customer deserves.More

nice, good decoration blablabla. So Wilfred, one of the worst servers, took our drink order and 40 minutes after I had to asked to another server about our drink order. This second server, she tried to fix it but no she was bad as the...first server. My son ask for a drink and it took another 25 minutes. When we placed our order, I order a Ribeye stake ($35.00) (medium) and when the order came to our table, they served me with a New York stake($25.00). Please people!!! is easy to identified between a Ribeye stake and a NY stake, and this restaurant is supposed to be a fine dining!! So I called my server, asked her if that was a Ribeye stake and she didn’t even know the difference between a Ribeye and a NY, Fine dining!!! So the server took my order back to the kitchen and 45 minutes later, she bought my Ribeye. As I cut the stake, it was rare, bloody not medium. So I called my server again and showed her my bloody plate, and she even noticed that was not medium and said “So sorry let me bring it back to the kitchen.” Viewers please, count the minutes!!! At this point, My family already had finished their d meals, so I told my server to canceled my order. Normally fine dining restaurants when they have a situation like this, the manager will come to your table to at least apologize. But nooo, it was a female and she didn’t even show her face to apologize for the terrible service and experience. Fine dining my ass!!! This place is the worst. I don’t recommend it.More
