Another go-to when we visit Old San Juan. Wonderful American and Puerto Rican cuisine. Healthy options are available also, and the staff is extremely friendly and courteous. Be sure to try the mofongo and encebollados.

We were a big group and had trouble deciding. We finally asked someone on the street and this place was recommended. Nice atmosphere and friendly service especially for a large group. If you want hamburgers or fish and chips go here. But little in the way of local flavor.

Good food for lunch after walking around Fort Morro all morning hit just the right spot! It's close to the fort and easily accessible. The wait staff was terrific and the prices on par for a tourist destination. Beautiful building and interior design. Comfortable and relaxing.

First came to this place when I was eight years old back in the early 1970s. My father was stationed at Fort Buchanan. For special occassions, we would go to Old San Juan and somehow always end up at El Patio de Sam. Now, 40 something years later, I still go back when i am in town. I always have... More

As a Puert Rican living in the continental USA, coming to the Island means one thing: eat comida criolla until you leave. Do not come here to eat a hamburger or pasta! Stuffed mofongo, "biftec encebollado", "arroz mamposteado", tostones, etc., are the dishes you want to try. We stopped for lunch and everyone had a great meal, and the restaurant... More

Stopped here for lunch when doing walking tour of Old San Juan. It was cool and beautiful inside and the food was spectacular. The Cubano Sandwich was our favorite. Good selection of wines and beer.

Feel bad writing this as the waitress was super nice and really tried. But I think only 2 people were working on a Sunday night. Took over an hour to serve the food. The burgers were good. Probably 3-4 star burgers. Tortellini Alfredo was actually REALLY good. But other items were bland. We tried amigo go for the first time.... More

We were walking past after touring the fort and decided to give this place a try. Glad we did. Cool and air conditioned, attentive staff, and good food. I had the chicken mofongo, which did not disappoint. The atmosphere of the place great, kind of small (like everything in old town) which helps keep the place full of charm. Next... More

We have been there several times now. We actually look for it when we go to Old San Juan. I had the trifongo with chicken and it was excellent. My husband had the fish and the chicken salad my oldest one had was huge! We plan to keep going back whenever we visit...

Thank idsantia
