The workers were very nice. From the person at the front door to the waiters and waitresses... All nice. The food was a bit overpriced and not that tasty.

This place is just ok.. More of a show than what it should concentrate on which is the food... Better options not too far from here

We were told at our hotel to go to Raices while we were in OSJ. We got the beef steak with onions and the Shrimp Mofongo - Creole style. The beef steak was delicious and the Shrimp Mofongo was the best monfongo that I had. It was very flavorful and the shrimp creole style had a nice kick. We ordered... More

Good food, created for the attraction of tourism, the locals call it the circus . If you can get further into town, do so it very safe in Old San Juan. If you are short on time, then it's a cool place to go.

We visited the restaurant around 2 O'clock . It took only 15 minutes to be seated for a party of 4. The service was excellent from the beginning . The waiter was very tentative and explained well all the different plates. The food came quickly and it was excellent . This place is definitely a must to visit.

Raices created a high expectation, but total value was OK. I was expecting a high, rich flavor, uniqueness of product... But it is a good, not extraordinary place to eat.

Great food. ... Great atmosphere. They dress in traditional attire. The food is served in traditional mugs and plates. ..this makes for a neat presentation. Prices are moderate. On a picturesque street in Old San Juan with a parking garage right across the street.

Not what I expected. For the price we paid, the plates were small. My husband ordered the bigger soup so we can share, buy it was too small. The mofongos were full of plantains and just a small portion of meat or chicken and a tiny salad. Otherwise, waitresses were very attentive and polite. Great service! Just pricey.

August is the off season here in PR so it's a little quieter than normal the locals tell me. I went in one night and came back the next. The drinks are large and the portions are big. I'm new to Puerto Rican food but you can tell they took pride in what they made. Get the appetizer sampler, but... More
