Visited Raices in Old San Juan. All I can say is that this restaurant is a must place to visit while in Puerto Rico. The Food is Puerto Rican food done right - good and unlike the common experience not greasy. The decorations and the atmosphere of the restaurant are excellent. The best is the Birthday Party celebration performed by... More

I had planned on going to this establishment since I began planning my vacation based on the trip advisor reviews and pictures. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I went and all though the pictures are true to form the establishment came across as gimmicky more than authentic. I could deal with the gimmicky aspect if the food delivered but it did... More

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews on trip advisor. I went with the idea of living the food and atmosphere. I was disappointed overall. The atmosphere was gimmicky but I can see why a tourist would like to go there. The food was okay but bland to my taste and we had to wait a while for... More

It is located in the San Juan Business area. It simulates a traditional house from the mountains of the island. They serve puertorrican food in traditional long past tableware. The food is very good and the service excellent.

Food was not good. I had steak with onions white rice and beans. Ordered a vanilla flan for desert. The steak was taste less. I was not impressed. I prefer El Jibarito restaurant in Calle Sol. Head there for a taste of real Puerto Rican food.

I was so glad we took the advice of our cheesecake factory waitress. This place was awesome and authentic. I was not going to get the monfongo at first but I was this trip is to create new memories. So happy I went with the shrimp monfongo..the flavor palette in my mouth was satisfied. Don't take my word for it... More

We have a friend that is pregnant and we wanted to make something different for a baby shower. We called main office and the reserved a spot for us. When we arrived, they even moved a table near us to spot the gifts. Service was superb and food was amazing. Highly recommended.

Delicious food drinks and dessert. You're greeted by staff dressed to the puertorican culture. Seating is even authentic.

If you really want to eat a tasty churrasco this is the place to visit! They have one of the nicest plantains and Mofongo.
