If you are going to go big in PR, this is a great place to do it. Marmalade delivers on service, food quality and ambiance. First off, the service is first rate. We enjoyed a prompt and warm greeting (even with the forehead temp check...and hand spritz). Our server was attentive, personable and knew the menu intimately. She is a true professional in her trade. The restaurant itself is very elegant. Lush furnishings, sublime wall treatments and smart privacy make the various dining options comfortable and intimate. For our meal, we had the choice between a 4, 5 or 6 course meal, with optional wine pairing. Not for the faint of heart, this is a true feast and certainly worth your focus (and possibly prior training). The 4-course meal includes a starter, pasta, entree and dessert. Their 5-course offering adds their signature White Bean Soup, which our server informed us is not to be missed. We took her advice and opted for the 5 course meal without wine pairing. True to her word, we agree that the White Bean Soup is possibly one of the best soups to ever grace your lips. But be warned, as each course builds you need to pace yourselves. Without going too deep on content or spoilers, everything we tasted was beyond compare and exceptional in every way. Plan to dine for 2.5 hours, but you could easily stay for another hour. In total, Marmalade is a must do in PR.More

These people know amazing service, food, wine, and cocktails. The white bean soup is legendary. Very friendly and professional staff. I would absolutely come here again and enthusiastically recommend it to others. A must try in San Juan.

I went there with my son, and we were delighted from the moment we went in until we stepped out. Food is heavenly. All the flavors and textures were executed to perfection! Waitress was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Social distancing due to COVID-19 was executed...perfectly as well. I have to say this was one of my best experiences in a restaurant in Puerto Rico! Keep up the great work.More

This place was perfect for us! We were out celebrating our honeymoon and the table was set with red rose petals. The server was extremely knowledgeable and the staff described each dish as it was served. Really great dinning options, and they were well equipped...to handle COVID. I saw our server frequently change her gloves and wear her mask appropriately the entire time. Definitely recommend!More

Best soup I’ve ever had...wine pairings were on point! A buddy told me that there was a great 4-5 star spot in OSJ I had to try; he said he had the best white bean soup he’d had in his life there.....I thought he was...nuts at first....but on our last trip down we happened to pop into Marmalade and I started reading about the soup. Well, he was right. One of the best meals I’ve had around the globe. I’ll be back; even if I swim.More

Let’s start by saying how lovely a place Marmalade is. Though it’s small, the decor which includes soft folds of fabric and placement of the tables makes it feel private and intimate with limited views of other diners. The service is impeccable, personal, and our...server was knowledgeable, articulate, kind, and friendly. Moving onto food: husband viewed menu on line and said there was nothing he liked! But, he decided to be adventurous even ordering fish (not a favorite of his) and trying the white bean soup (even less of a favorite of his). With each bite of each course, he was more and more impressed not just by presentation, but the taste. Everything and I mean every single menu choice from the signature white bean soup to popcorn shrimp, pork cheeks, lamb, desserts was delectable and beautifully presented. The occasion was 70th birthday of a friend. The GM stopped by our table to acknowledge the occasion and I mentioned my birthday was 5 days later. Desserts came with a candle in two of them presented to the celebrant and myself. You don’t find this attention to detail often! It is the dining experience of a lifetime!More

It’s only about an 8 to 10 minute walk from the port in San Juan. You should not need a taxi. And enjoy Marmalade because it is absolutely amazing!
