This places is where my parents used to go when they were in highschool. So its been open for over 50 years. The burgers are very traditional. Don't expect to eat your best burger. The place is run down but the food is pretty good. Portions are cheap but small.

If you want a no frills, inexpensive, delicious hamburger joint popular with locals and tourists alike add this hole in the wall to your list! It can be very busy so expect to wait. There are tables and a few stools at the bar. We suggest the latter option as it gives the opportunity to talk to some locals. There... More

We love this place so much, we actually try to book an afternoon flight out of San Juan just so we can make this our last meal! This is the local burger joint - just off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. For the price of fast food, this simply cannot be beat.

Not a good experience, first visit after 18 years that I've ben out of the Island, long wait time, very small burger with no mayonnaise because if you want mayonnaise it cost .50 cents extra ( I could not believe it). Serve fries first and Burger later, disorganized service, place is run down. Never again for me.

Decided to try El Hamburger because we stayed nearby. Looks like a dive, and is not comfortable in the heat, because there is no a/c. Nothing fancy about it at all. The hamburgers were small but tasted freshly grilled. Other than that, it was just your run of the meal hamburger joint. The server was not particularly friendly, but that... More

Locals recommended we had a burguer at this restaurant. Let me just say is not gourmet but is a very local experience with a very flavorful burguer and fries! Cheap, fast and good is usually a winning combination!

It's an informal simple burger bar serving only 4/5 types of small burgers, very cheap (2/3 euro each). At a walking distance from El Escambron. They don't speak English.

Local place with ONE specialty...homemade hamburgers! Other options are limited but hamburgers are fabulous! One drawback, no A/C, only fans. Great view from across street of Atlantic Ocean.
