I tried a few of the coffee shops around Old San Juan during my stay, but this was my favorite. The coffee was quality, and the space was casual and inviting. We also grabbed a Mallorca sandwich that was delicious.

While walking through Old San Juan our guide took us to Cafe Don Ruiz. It was great, a very cool place that I would visit again given the chance. One of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. The sandwich made with Puerto Rican Sweet Bread (Mallorca) was outstanding....Yum!

Nice place for coffee lovers. Excellent service and sweet barista. Sandwiches are good with reasonable prices. Worth the visit.

Great place a little hidden but worth the easy hunt! Close to the fort so start here and then go to fort..

Try the Nitro for something cool (literally!) and new. They have all sorts of coffee versions, but the neat thing is that they use their own coffee beans grown by the owner's family in Yauco. Don't miss this place!

After hearing of this place my wife and I kept coming back. A local who happened to be on the Hacienda Pomarrosa tour with me gave me the tip. Cafe Don Ruiz has one of the best latte and cappuccino's I ever had. My wife loved her English breakfast tea with steamed milk. The staff is also great. Interesting location... More

The employees here were very helpful and patient with my dad, son, and I... the coffee was excellent and the atmosphere is great. Perfect for being located in proximity to an art museum.

We were really glad we went here. We really enjoyed learning from the baristas as they made recommendations as there are several options of quality coffee and they know their stuff. Best coffee we had on the trip. We were hungry also and got some treats and sandwiches and the food was very fresh, great bread.
