We were sent here by the chef at Marmalade when that restaurant wasn't open for lunch. It was terrific. Charming decor and a small lunch menu but everything was delicious, fresh interesting.. Middle Eastern spices added complexity and surprising flavor to the salads and stews....More

They don't take reservations so we went as a party of 4 and had to wait maybe 40 minutes, but none of us were starving and went to have a drink at a bar just a few doors down. Once we got to our table...More

Small portions. Worst service in a long time. Really bad food. Dry rice dish. Tasteless meat. Tiny appetizers. Food came out of the kitchen late and was cold. Difference especially striking after enjoying a meal at the Marmalade restaurant the previous evening.

Spicy naan was bland bread. Kale salad not exciting. Tuna however was quite nice and my husband enjoyed the lamb stew despite the bones and no sign of any vegetables.

What a nice, friendly place with a warm atmosphere. The staff is amazing, food was extraordinary tasty. Not the cheapest restaurant but definitely worth it. Best experience and food in SJ.

This is a lovely small restaurant with a most interesting menu. There are vegetarian dishes as well as selections for the true meat eater. My husband ordered a chayote salad that was quite unusual and a barley based entree. Both were delicious. I had lamb...More
