We stopped here while walking through the old city. It is a cafeteria seating and there was a huge line but the food is well worth the wait. I had the Mofongu with chicken and it was great. My wife had steak with rice and beans. The pina colada was spectacular. All that for $30, I highly recommend the food... More

My family and I arrived at Old San Juan a day early for our cruise and we went to this cafe for lunch after we checked in to our hotel. My older daughter had the chicken mofongo, my husband had pernil (special for the day), my younger daughter had empanada de lomillo (pork), and I had the Puerto Rican style... More

This restaurant had wonderful food, drinks, service, and is very clean. The wait staff was very friendly and the service was outstanding. They want to please you. We were here for 3 lunches and one breakfast. It was THAT GOOD! We tried the Chicken Mofongo, red snapper, and the grilled chicken breasts. The beans and rice are excellent. We also... More

I was visiting my Island, my family and friends, having a great time with them. My brother invited me to this restaurant after we walked more than 15 steps (using a Fitbit) from Santurce to the Old San Juan!! The food, the service, the family atmosphere, the price!!!, in general, all was great! I love mofongo (a ball of fried... More

There are many places to dine in Old San Juan - but this restaurant was an exceptional find. We found it by searching TripAdvisor and we were happy we did. As we sat at the counter, our lunch choices were: Biftec Encero, Camarones Criolla Amarillo, and Carne Frita. We topped off our lunch by splitting a flan queso - one... More

As a self proclaimed "foodie" this place is a must. We discovered it on our last day and wish we would've discovered it on our first. Great food and the most affordable we found. Diner style casual get in get it. Make sure you try the orange juice!

Stopped here for lunch with a large group. It was crowded with locals (always a good sign) and tourists, but service was friendly and quick. Seating at tables and the counter. Menu has a wide variety of options and the portions are very large. My chicken mofongo was excellent!! Several others in our group ordered a chicken fillet that they... More

We stumbled across Cafe Manolin while checking out Old San Juan. Lots of the restaurants we looked at seemed to be very touristy, which wasn't appealing based on the location. Manolin had a true local feel. The lunch counter was filled with locals and that's usually that's a sign of good place. The food is authentic Puerto Rican and all... More
