We ate here on our first night in San Juan. It was a great introduction to the local cuisine. The presentation of the food is as good as the flavor, and there were several samples we received "on the house" to try. It was just a few minutes drive from our hotel at Hyatt City center, and they have parking across... More

Casita Miramar (605 Miramar Ave). Owned by a family for eons, along with Casita Blanco-- off a beautiful side street upstairs. Sit outside or in, have a drink while you wait. We were served complimentary pumpkin soup and bacalaitos (codfish fritters with a great sauce) to start, then perused the blackboard menu for other tapas. I'll be honest, I can't... More

Great food selection, great location, great service. It gets busier at night was a lot of water on the floor at our table but was quickly relocated. Prices are decent and food portions large. I like that they have an English menu Would definitely return.

Found this gem within walking distance from our hotel up a side street. After a beach day, the hearty portions were well received. They don't take reservations, but our group of 4 waited less than 5 minutes for a table. The introduction of the house made sauce and local coffee was a bit of a sales pitch, but it worked... More

Went here in a "date night" with my husband. We split an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. All were excellent and this was plenty of food. We particularly enjoyed the mashed root vegetables and the tres leches cake. A meal we both agreed we would "like to replay" it was so good.

Old house setting for a traditional Puerto Rican food. Once you get to the door you feel welcome. Complementary bacalaitos come to the table as you get seated. Cocktails and appetizers were great, service was fast. The place was fill of locals and is a good sign. Main dishes were big, Canoas de Ropa Vieja, Fricase de Pollo,Aguacate Mahi Mahi... More

Casita Miramar is in walking distance of many of the hotels in San Juan. We walked from the Hyatt House and it didn't take us long at all to get there. The restaurant is so quaint and the food is amazing! From the time we entered, to the time we left, we had a wonderful time. Victoria, Renee, and Tyler... More

Fantactic neighborhood restaurant. It actually feels like you are eating at home . Typical Puerto Rican food like we used to eat at my grandmother.
