Very nice staff and the food was tasty. I got the shrimp with creole sauce on mofongo. They don’t have any pork in theirs or on the menu in general which is great. My husband and son got the chicken which was actually even better...than my shrimp. The chicken was nice and tender. The plantain cups are a bit hard but we wanted to try them. The avocado was nice and fresh.More

Right in the middle of Old San Juan, this is a great restaurant. Staff was super friendly, and though we had to wait a bit to be seated, there are lots of shops around to look at while you wait. I had the Mofongo Pollo...with Puerto Rican rice and sweet plantains. Every bit of my dinner was great.More

You have to walk through some sort of a storefront to get to the actual dining room. From the very outside, the window sign is nothing special, and when you reach the hostess' station, again, it's not special. But the dining room is small, comfortable,...nicely lit, well decorated, and welcoming. Service is excellent. The food is excellent too. And the pina coladas are superb. How he found us, I do not know, but a street singer wandered in and serenaded a couple at an adjacent table with "(He) take(s) you just the way you are." A wonderful experience.More

My wife and I went there and the food was great. Their Mofongo was good and their chicken/avocado dish was excellent. The avocado was truly massive. The setting is cool as well in the heart of old San Juan and inside an old historic building.

I’ll keep it short: Food was great. Take the recommendation and try the stuffed avocado. The rice and beans were phenomenal, too. Fresh fruit smoothies were excellent Service was on point. Friendly and attentive. Food was slow to come out by American standards but gave...us more time to enjoy the restaurant!More

We asked a local from a shop near by to recommend a place for lunch. With our hesitation, they sent us here and we are so grateful they did. The service was so friendly and charming, the food FANTASTIC.

Hernan our waiter was so nice and the food was amazing. It definitely was the best authentic Puerto Rican cuisine you could find. I honestly would go back. The stuffed avocados with shrimp were great but I was really blown away by the Pistachio flan...they had their for dessert; it was the best flan I have had in my life!More

We were excited to go here given the high reviews. Our first bad experience was the margarita. It tasted very sour and not fresh. We tried to return it and the waiter kept insisting on how fresh the mango was. I tried her margarita and...it was awful. We sat near the kitchen and the cook would handle raw food then wipe his hands on a dirty towel then proceed to touch other food and plates. Our food was just okay and the service wasn’t very friendly. It is overpriced and not worth the money. We stayed in Puerto Rico for a week and there are plenty of other nice places.More

First stop after arriving in old San Juan. We came for a late lunch. I hadn’t been in several years and I wondered if it was as good as I remembered. Yep! Delicious. We had the stuffed avocados.

Luckily as we were looking for somewhere for dinner in Old San Juan, we found this place. Granted, it was after 8:30, but we were probably the last table seated and ended up closing the place. All 4 of us truly loved our choices (...I chose the grouper with garlic sauce and the Chilean salad). After the rest of our group arrived the following day, we tried unsuccessfully to eat there again for the next 3 nights. Highly recommend.More

We stayed in a hotel and flew in, but I imagine that Uber could get you there pretty fast (I would guess under 15 minutes), plus that would put you in the shopping and historical area. Taxis cost more, but either could tell... More
