We had a fabulous dinner in our one night in The old city. They were willing to work with my difficult diet of being gluten free...and switched out the pasta for risotto...and it was delicious! The wine was great too and they made my husband a Venetian which we haven't had since Venice! Prego!

I was strongly recommended by a local to try the spaghetti vongole, which is a long-time favourite of mine. The spaghetti was al dente and very good, and they served lots of clams with it, but the sauce and remaining ingredients were not according to my expectations. Actually, I make it better myself! We are always referring people to this place however, one of the groups we referred there complaint to us about the service. Today we visit the restaurant and tried to explain what we have been told to the owner. But instead of receiving the critics in a positive way , he got upset and not polite. Excellent food, bad attitude.

The place had walk-in tables ready. Very cozy, romantic place. The food was amazing and plates were left empty. Highly recommended for both tourists... More

We were in the mood for Italian food and fortunately found Il Bacaro Venezia in the heart of Old San Juan. The restaurant is small and charming and serves up wonderful, classic Italian food. The bartender was a very nice person who bantered warmly with us while we waited about 7 minutes for a table. The wine selection was perfect... More

My family and I popped in this quaint little Italian bistro. The staff were very accommodating and the food was well seasoned, well priced along with good portions.

Look for the Italian flag on Calle Aruz you won't regret it. The food was amazing and they had my favorite wine, bonus! Great vibe and friendly professional service. Would eat here 100 more times.
