This place was fantastic, one of our favorite restaurants from our time in Puerto Rico. I think when word gets out it will be tough to get a table in this small but charming place, tucked away unassumingly. They made great cortados and lattes, and both of our breakfast options were delicious. I got a breakfast sandwich that was filling and very tasty, all for very reasonable prices. If we'd found this earlier in our stay I suspect we would have gone back a second time to try their lunch menu. Highly recommend checking this gem out.

Fresh sour dough bread, baked eggs with Prosciutto in a round ceramic dish, fresh fruit yogurt and granola, steaming coffee latte, and all served with a smile. This was a real find and just what I needed when I needed it most. They know the area and happily gave me recommendations and directions (in my case to some local jewellery stores in the area). It's a small place with only a few tables, but the service and food are very, very good!

We got here right when they opened in the morning. Recommended from our VRBO Rental Owner. The coffee is really good! I also had the Brie Grilled Cheese Toast, so so YUMMY!! My husband had the yogurt with fresh fruit and granola; which he loved - nice size portions.
Service was amazing as well!

I just went there after a member of my hotel staff and a friend that lives in Old San Juan recommended it. It was packed. We got a table and the menu looked appealing. I had really good scrambled eggs that included vegetables and goat cheese. BUT they would not bring us our cafe con leche. We asked more than once and we got the suggestion to "cancel the order". My friend and I were incredulous when I asked her why I saw other people being served coffee, she said there was a "one hour wait" for a coffee. Tell me before I order and I can go to Caficultura or any other great cafes near by.

We are truly sorry for your experience at Spiga. I'm sure there was a misunderstanding with your order and for that we offer our sincere apologies. We have seven tables and there's just no way that a latte will take one hour to make. I seriously doubt that any of our staff member "suggested" that you cancel the order. That's just not the way we treat our customers at Spiga.

We stopped today around 11.30 and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food served at this place. Their sourdough bread is truly amazing. We had the pumpkin soup, the grilled cheese with Brie and fig Jam, the caprese sandwich and the chocolate chip cookies. Service was very nice. Clearly the quality of the ingredients used here are truly superior. This is a spot we will come back often. Thanks and keep up the great work.

My wife and I spend our winters in Puerto Rico . Four years ago while our son and his family were visiting, we stumbled upon Spiga. It is a small restaurant, but the minute you walk in you feel the ambiance and coziness. The food was absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff. Since our first visit we have gone back to Spiga several times a year. Continue to enjoy the food especially the wonderful sandwiches served on the delicious homade sourdough bread. They serve a lot of pasta dishes which look delicious. If we can ever get past the sandwiches we will try the pasta. Due to the pandemic we only recently arrived in Puerto Rico this year, and went to Spiga today. Right now they have takeout service, and limited outdoor seating. We were warmly greeted by Katia as always. While we need to try the pasta, we could not resist the sandwiches again. Next time! Not sure why I have not reviewed Spiga before. Excellent!

Great little place for breakfast. Pastries are fresh made and delicious. The breakfast sandwich I had was perfectly done and the flavors blended together just right to make a delightful start to the day. The juices are fresh squeezed. The menu is limited so they can focus on fresh, delicious, and consistent quality food.

Quality Breakfast 101. We had eggs with salmon and dill plus ham, fig and Brie sandwich. We took with banana bread with chocolate chips. It’s specialty is bakery: they had eightish items to consume. Female owner who had warm personality, extremely effective, and outrageously busy. Her dog is a classic please restrict what you feed him- he protected the street well.

Amazing products. Amazing service. Quality all the way, a MUST in the Old San Juan area.
It can be a bit daunting to know where to go, what to do etc.. and this place delivers. Whether it’s artisanal coffee or fresh (life changing) bread or straightforward, but never basic, breakfast and/or lunch-this is THE spot.

Tiny little bakery/kitchen serving breakfast and lunch. Fresh made bread was very good. One of the few places in PR where we found a nice salad for lunch along with a great sandwich on the previously mentioned fresh baked bread. Only maybe ten seats inside and a couple more tables on the sidewalk. Worth a visit and I definitely would return.

Great service, fresh coffee, and great food!
Being so close to the cruise ships you’d expect to pay more. This place is priced more than fair for the quality! We enjoyed a fresh quiche that was amazing. The pastry looked incredible but we were full after the Quiche… We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Easily the best and most affordable meal we had in PR. Even the coffee was amazing. We enjoyed several of the sweet and savory pastries and the ham, brie, egg sandwich. They have an orange roll with cinnamon that is perfect! Service was outstanding a well. Highly recommended.

Small and adorable and food was amazing. Sandwiches were fabulous and savory brioche was full of cheese and perfectly salted veg. Would recommend the prosciutto and Brie sandwich, any of the brioches, and any sandwich that comes with the amazing homemade pesto (iykyk). The owner knows everyone, which makes it feel welcoming and authentic. What a great find.

Excellent food with a nice proprietor. The poor lady running the place was kind enough to warn us the water was out in the whole building so coffee was off the menu until it was fixed. Plus, it has the sweetest little mascot for the other animal lovers of this world.
