Locals we met while eating at another local establishment recommended Cafeteria Mallorca for an excellent brunch. It was our first time having Mallorcas, and we all loved them! Diner-style place that has clearly been around a long time, clean, very quick turnaround, very busy with both locals & tourists, excellent coffee & breakfast and super friendly people. So good we... Our hotel concierge suggested we stop here for breakfast our first morning in Old San Juan. We barely scraped up two seats at the bar and then stared at the menu trying to decide what to get. The waiter behind the bar suggested the mallorca and fresh squeezed orange juice. It was a neat experience to hear the older gentlemen... More

This place is the authentic real deal in San Juan. Our tour operator send us there. A guy was playing a trumpet live in the for donations. The Mallora is a essentially a pressed sandwhich with powdered sugar on top. We went with Cuban sandwiches and we're not disappointed.

We were walking around Old San Juan and saw people lined up to get a dessert from here, so we decided to go in and what a wonderful surprise. We sat at the counter and asked the waiter what he recommended. From then on, we were treated like family and had a wonderful lunch meal. The food was authentic and... More

Our hotel recommended this place for mallorcas for breakfast and we were very happy. The hotel clerk said that this place served quite "genuine" Puerto Rican food. It's pretty small so you might have to wait. If you want something else, they also have standard breakfast food (scrambled eggs, etc.).

I had never even heard of a Mallorca before I started researching breakfast spots in Old San Juan, but I was intrigued. Disclaimer: I am not a big fan of processed cheese, meat or sugar. That being said - I loved the Mallorca sandwich! I tried the house special with egg, ham, processed cheese slice and powdered sugar. Although I... More

I needed a quick, filling breakfast before a day of exploring and I knew that a mallorca would be just thing. I picked the perfect place. Busy as all get out, great atmosphere and fast service. I was in a hurry, so I sat at the counter and in no time my sandwich was ready and it was oh, so... More

This was a great stop for breakfast. Highly recommended. Short walk from Sheraton in Old SAN Juan. There were many locals eating there. They brought out fresh pastries several times.

Quick and very nice service. Barely walk in the door and we were being helped. The Mallorca was great too.
