Vegan Jamaican food stand with great vibes. On the roadside right across from the cliffs. One of our favorite spots to eat while in Negril.

somehow this family has mastered the art of fusing rich organic ingredients to produce a unique vegan soup on a daily basis

We read many great reviews and we’re staying at Tensing Pen right across the street, so we decided to give this little roadside stand a try. We are not vegan and the stand doesn’t look like much from the outside, so admittedly we were hesitant...(especially my carnivorous husband). We were so glad we did!!! From the moment we walked up, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. Shadrach (spelling?) cooks everything from scratch daily, and the ingredients are from his organic gardens. He takes great pride and joy in what he does, and it shines through. He is very happy to share about/educate on the ital lifestyle and farm to table process. The food was amazing, and by far and away the best vegan/vegetarian I’ve ever tried! We devoured every last bite-at a very reasonable price! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, including visiting with Shadrach, his 13-year-old nephew, and a young friend who is aspiring to be a cook. Add this little gem to your “places to go” list-you won’t regret it 😋More

Was tired of eating in hotel restaurant. This shack was a short walk down the road. Chef/owner was very friendly and prepared a wonderful traditional Jamaican breakfast for a very reasonable price for the amount of food presented.

This little food stand serves up a delicious soup of the day, period. Tasty and value priced, a stop at Ras Rody's is a flash into the roots Jamaica street dining experience.

Fantastic vegan Jamaican food! Rody helped me get a great plate of food that was ok for my allergies and the service was fantastic! Try the homemade hot sauce and banana pancakes🔥😍

We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this delicious ital food. The chef showed us how he cooks on coals and explained the ingredients he used for each dish. He takes pride in his cooking and his passion was evident with each delicious bite. We had...soup and a combo platter. Worth the trip to the west end.More

Wonderful atmosphere across the street from Tensing Pen Hotel. Kind owner that made us feel at home right away. Fresh veggie food that gives you the local flavor of the Cliff’s region.

We were staying at Somewhere West on the West Deep End which we later discovered was rat and mice infested. As noted in my review of Somewhere West, we had to leave after one night. Anyway, we took a taxi to Ras from our new...hotel and it was worth it. The son was there and the food was tasty and the portions were good.More

This tiny little place is only open until 7pm. Most of the time it is a one-person show with Ras Rody's son cooking and serving the food, and gets good reviews. When I went Ras Rody's daughter was there and the food was mediocre-tasteless rice...and peas with some callalloo and pumpkin. Don't order if the daughter is the one there-you will be wasting your money.More

I spent 200 Jamaican dollars (80c US) for that day's only offering- a small cup of soup. BTW this is in NO way the 3rd best restaurant in Negril - contrary to Trip Advisor rating
