Visited this place a few years back, NOT IN MARCH 2019 it was about 2015-6 so it MAY have changed but I doubt it, I went here several times for "Kidney" for breakfast and it was VERY good, we also went one day as a...couple and my wife loved it too. The food was good and the place was very quaint ...... Take a look see, it is a bit out of "town" but not that far only a 10 min walk.More

Although the website had this place pegged at Negril, this place (or maybe, a branch of this place)is very conveniently located just outside of Montego Bay in the shopping mall area. After a long day pf touring around the area, this was a very refreshing...place for me to kill my hunger and fill me up for the night. Their menu has got all kinds of local and Western dishes, along with drink specials. This is reasonably priced, and the quality and taste of the dish was well worth the wait time. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking for Jamaican food and/or is feeling homesick for some American comfort food.More

We try to eat at Sweet Spice at least once each trip to Negril. Very good food, wide variety, generous portions, reasonable price

The restaurant itself seems to be a local favorite spot. Parking is a lil tough, but worth it. The food was great and well seasoned. The atmosphere was homey, but too dark. Needed more lighting. There aren't any alcoholic beverages available so don't have your...taste buds ready for Rum punch....lol. It is reasonably priced and the portions were great.More

Excellent authentic Jamaican meal. The owner was lovely and very friendly without being intrusive. Curried goat and oxtail in generous portions. Freshly caught grilled fish was scrumptious. Casual, family run restaurant.

We loved this place--locals eat here and the food is fantastic. Good vibe as well. We both had the curry, which was great.

As soon as we sat down they brought us piping hot soup which was very good and we decided to stay, what a mistake. We ordered goat curry which comes with rice&peas. Both dish were Luke warm and asked the server to get it temperature...hot. Reluctantly she took it back and after 5 min. brought it back the same . ( what did they not understand about hot temp.? Or simply did not care). We did not eat and they did not ask why. The attitude and service is so bad and the food is crap. They do not even have hot peppers... how is that authentic? Why seat in an enclose smelly room when you can go eat on the beach with better view and for less, This restaurant is overrated as overpriced.More

While visiting Negril in August we went into town to walk around a bit and stumbled upon this restaurant. Quaint little place, very clean and the servers were lovely. We decided to try the freshly made delicious papaya and a watermelon drink along with the...fried rice, oxtail with rice & peas and veggies. The fried rice was the most delicious fried rice I’ve had ...tastes nothing like the fried rice I’ve had in the States. The oxtail was soft, well seasoned...basically just outstanding! I have to talk specifically about the rice and peas too because it was to die for...it could be eaten without any form of protein or gravy, that’s how good it was! While we were there a lot of local residents came in to buy there meals to go, usually for me that’s a sign that we chose the right spot. We were staying at an all inclusive, but so glad we left to stroll around the West End and found this little gem!!More

Our driver brought us (a group of 8) here for lunch on our way to Negril. We wanted to try authentic Jamaican. We all tried different things, and everyone was extremely satisfied. The food was delicious, service was great, and it was very clean.

It is not worth the hype. In the goat dish I could taste only the sauce but I would not recommend it to anyone because the meat was negligible and all I could find in the dish was tiny, small, and larger fragments of bones......Total disappointment. The grilled vegetable dish was very plain and the taste average. Overall not recommended.More

Honestly, depends on your taxi driver. I think we paid $10 or $15 for round trip. You could walk, but I wouldn't do it at night or alone.
