We had catering from here on our friends’ wedding at the Pattoo castle in Negril. It was a selection from various vegetarian meals and they were very tasty. The staff was very kind and always with smiles on their faces 🤗

Great food at a great price. You definitely have to try this local restaurant. The oxtails and curry chicken are really good. A must try!

We had dinner at Sweet Spice because it was inside dining with air-conditioning. This is a busy restaurant and has a lot of take out. The restaurant has ten tables. We were very disappointed because of the service. It took a half hour just to...get our drink order in, which ended up just being two glasses of water and some Red Stripe non-alcoholic beverage. They do not have a liquor license it seems. The waitress also never smiled, and never offered us a nice greeting upon arrival. We both had the chicken and garlic with rice. This was actually a good dish. But it took a long time for the food to come out. We were very disappointed, and probably will not come back.More

We were traveling with a party of about 20. Our waitress was very sullen and full of presumption because instead of asking if we’re paying as a group she made the decision for us. Wrong! So we had to wait again for that to get...sorted out. For a group as large as ours there was no warmth, island charm or thanks for comingMore

Went with friends, been going for 30 + years , always a fabulous meal. They are happy to chill your beer for you. The best grilled lobster in town. My go to local place when in Negril.

Visited for lunch. Nice clean restaurant, very generous portions. Several items on food and drinks menu unavailable. I had chicken curry, tasted like English chip shop curry sauce, my husband had bbq chicken. Rice and beans claggy and pretty tasteless. Wanted to leave the hotel...and have authentic Jamaican food but found this disappointing. All edible and very reasonably priced, but won’t be returning.More

Sweet Spice always lives up to expectations at moderate prices. My last trip I had spicy lobster that was great. They also have great frozen drinks and home made juices. (They do not serve alcohol.)

Our driver from Montigo Bay to Negril recommended this restaurant. The restaurant seemed busy with many take-out by the locals. We had two dishes we wanted to try; curry goat and oxtail. Oxtail was not available but we got to try their version of 'fried...rice' and it was delicious. It looked plain, but the flavour and spices were fantastic. When travel, we always want to go to the restaurants that the locals go, so if you are the same, this is the restaurant in Negril. My husband played at Negril Golf Course (which we don't recommend to play) and on our way back from the golf course, our driver dropped us at Sweet Spice, then, picked us up after, and took us to Rick's Cafe. So it's in the same area if you want to plan.More

Food was delicious! We had the fried chicken, oxtails and shrimp fried rice. Everything was amazing. Probably the best rice and peas I’ve ever had and I’m Jamaican 🇯🇲

This place is the best cost/quality place in Negril. The food was delicious (tenderloin steak+mashed potatoes), the waitress was nice, but beware of some mixed drinks that were awful and tasted artificial (Irish moss), we had to return it. Otherwise we will be visiting the...place perhaps the 4th time during our stay in Negril.More

Lovely authentic Jamaican restaurant. We were staying at an all inclusive hotel in negril but wanted to experience some real Jamaican food so one of our bar tenders recommended sweet spice to us. They don’t serve alcohol but that didn’t matter to us. Two drinks,...two starters and two mains came to $27 so fantastic value. The curry chicken was absolutely delicious and you get generous portions. The only reason I’ve not given 5 stars is because the service wasn’t particularly welcoming and friendly from one of the waiting staff (the other we spoke to was absolutely lovely). Would definitely go back again next time I’m in JamaicaMore

My first visit to Sweet Spice made me want to return, and I did return. On both occasions the food was delicious. I had Curried Goat, Oxtail, Beetroot and Carrot juice. Looking forward to my 3rd visit.

Honestly, depends on your taxi driver. I think we paid $10 or $15 for round trip. You could walk, but I wouldn't do it at night or alone.
