This restaurant is tucked away at beautiful Hermosa Cove and is light and breezy, with gorgeous views of the sea. It is private and clean with all the protocols in place for sanitizing and social distancing. I liked the atmosphere and service so much I went twice. Although the food was well done and presented, it was not particularly special. On the first day I tried a small marlin salad which hardly had any marlin in it, and the Hermosa Burger, which was disappointing. I do not eat cheese, but that does not mean the two sesame buns need to be dry. There was a pretty small homemade beef burger, a few lettuce leaves and two little pickles. The potato wedges were seasoned and cooked nicely. I had a blended fruit punch which was too sweet. On the second day, I had the jerk chicken spring role, which was tasty, and the chicken Caesar salad, which was nice but not outstanding. I enjoyed a Long Island Ice Tea with Lemongrass and for dessert, a chocolate muffin with a scope of vanilla ice cream. My suggestion is continue taking advantage of the views and service of this restaurant - but items on the menu need to be improved to match their pricing.

The place drew me by its sheer beauty and the food postings of the chef looked delicious, how could I not try ?
The experience did not disappoint, ambiance, service, natural beauty enhanced by a creative mind with an eye for the whimsical and I was in heaven.
Conroy’s food was delectable, I smiled with every mouthful, snapped pictures of my plate (which I never do 😁) . The chef was not only adept with culinary skills, he was also warm and engaging.
Add this experience to your memory bank , it’s worth it.
This place is now on my must visit multiple times per year list.

We were looking for a nice and quiet restaurant that served good food to have dinner at and found Christopher’s on Google. It ticked all the boxes and we were very surprised why the restaurant didn’t have many customers. It could be a lack of marketing or the location because the food is good and reasonably priced. This restaurant has a lot of potentials that aren’t being maximized.
And although the food was good, I do have some suggestions on the food I ordered. For the seafood soup, I hope they scrub the shells of the mussels and don’t serve the fish bones. I know fish bones make a good broth but they only need to serve the broth and not the bones. For the pesto pasta, I suggest they use fresh basil leaves. They used dried, which gives a completely different taste. A lime wedge on the side would also be nice to give more depth to the flavor.

We are delighted to hear that we "ticked all your boxes". You may not know but Christopher's restaurant is located at Hermosa Cove Villa, Resort and Suites. The restaurant may not be busy not because of location or marketing but because our guests may opt to do room service at any given time.
Thank you for your suggestions we will definitely be looking into them. Please take comfort in the fact that we take pride in what we do and strongly believe in food hygiene. Our apologies if you found fish bones in your seafood soup we are now more vigilant. In regards to the fresh basil we grow our own as we know that fresh ingredients are key to the quality of food served.
We appreciate your review and will definitely improve in areas needed.
Looking forward to seeing you again in the near future now that you know where to find a nice quiet restaurant with great food.

This restaurant and bar is neatly locating on the beach front with an absolutely stunning sea front view. The accompanying ambiance and vibe is suitably complementary. I'm here every week and or every other week, the food is great! The presentation on a platter is a bonus. Consistent. Food is delicious.
The landscaping - plant decor are uniquely crafted and placed to enhance the island view. I'm mostly impressed with this element - the landscape is great.
The staff on property, from the security to the front desk, to the gardeners are extremely hospitable and genuinely warm with a smile. It's def one of our island's gem.
Take it from a local, it's an island gem definitely worth a visit.

It was my Husband's and Father's birthdays we made reservations for 5pm. The ambiance is lovely and you must have a reservation. The restaurant is part of the exquisite Hermosa Cove Hotel, with lush gardens and Treehouse type rooms. The food was good, however many menu items were not available. the chef compensated by giving us (6 persons) an ice-cream, chocolate cake, Praline sticks, and other delicious goods as dessert (all in 1 container). You could wade in the sea while you wait for dinner. It was a great night.

I've been here two times on very spread out occasions and although the scenery is beautiful, the food was absolutely terrible. I gave it a second try, months later and the food wasn't good. The burger tasted horrible and I didn't even want to eat anything else because I was turned off.

I have dined at Christophers many, many times over the years, and it's always been a fabulous experience. The staff is wonderful and Conroy's cooking is out of this world. He is so creative, his food is trendy, modern and so flavorful.....he really is one of the best chefs on the island.The restaurant itself and the property is very beautiful and tastefully done. I highly recommend Hermosa Cove / Christophers and I can't wait to return for another one of Conroy's amazing food extravaganzas!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The setting is beautiful. Secluded, private resort with gorgeous trees all around and ocean views while dining. Bottles of wine are very affordable. My seafood penne pasta was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Big chunks of lobster, shrimp, and mussels in a coconut cream alfredo sauce. The seafood fritter app was also delicious. Highly recommend!!!

We made reservations and dined recently on a Friday night. The restaurant was doing a barbecue so dining was only available at the The Broken Rudder. The menu was very limited to chicken and pork, so that was very disappointing. The restaurant also didn't post or indicate the pricing for this special menu. We were given the option to dine outside under the stars and near the pools. It seemed like a perfect idea except the lighting was extremely poor. The staff did bring out a very large outdoor light but it was way too bright. We asked for a candle lit experience to add to the ambience (which they mention on the website) but were told the resort ran out of candles. So our group of five actually ate most of our meal under the lights of our cell phone flashlights.
The meal itself was okay and they also got some of our orders incorrect. The staff however were very nice and tried to make things right, but unfortunately the overall experience was a bit disappointing.

We appreciate you and your family dining with us and we are very happy to know that our staff did their best to ensure your dining experience was a pleasant one.
Whenever we do a BBQ seafood is always a part of the menu options and on the evening in questioned we also had steak. As it relates to candle we do have at our main dining area (Christopher's) so it is quite unornate you were told other wise. I am not sure why you had to use your cellphones for lighting as that big one would have been more than adequate.
We regret that your dining experience was not what you expected. We value your feedback and will definitely be making the necessary changes while being more watchful to avoid any repetition of the same.
We are however looking forward to seeing you and your family in the near future where we will definitely be making a more positive, lasting impression.

Had lunch at Christopher's at Hermosa Cove Ocho Rios as part of a birthday celebration. Food was excellent especially the Escargot Hermosa. Staff were very pleasant and the service was very good. Chef Conroy continues to create superb dishes. For Saturday evenings go to the Broken Rudder beach bar for smoked delights on the same complex. Highly recommended

We ate at Christopher’s almost every day during our stay at Hermosa Cove. Chef Conroy and the staff were absolutely incredible. They made us feel at home and they were incredibly attentive. The continental breakfast and to order breakfast are delicious (we’re trying to see how we can order that banana bread if mama kidd’s!). Drinks and dinner was also wonderful - highly recommend any of the seafood dishes, and get all of the apps. This is your chance to eat real Jamaican food if your are visiting from out of the country. We even were able to arrange some time in the kitchen (safely) to make some egg rolls for that night’s dinner.

I ordered a BLT sandwich and it was not very good. Some of the bacon in the sandwich was not cooked all the way through. The sandwich really just didn’t taste like anything, just felt like I was chewing but not tasting anything. The fries were great though. My last concern is that this place is praising Christopher Columbus as a person despite all the terrible things he did such as eliminating Jamaica’s entire Taino population.

My friends and I stayed at Hermosa Cove and dined at Christopher's almost every night. Chef Conroy, Anikea, Rochelle and the rest of their amazing team made us feel like we were family. The atmosphere is simply breath taking. The food is fresh and amazing. They even provided a birthday cake from a local bakery for our friends birthday. Everything was above satisfactory. Some of my favorite appetizers and entrees were the smoked marlin, veggie spring rolls and the fresh catch of the day. Christopher’s is a stop you must make if you are in the Ocho Ríos area. I am looking forward to going back and visiting again.
The attached photo is the yellowtail snapper which was the catch of the day. I didn’t take many pictures because we all immediately dove straight in.

Dining at Christopher’s Restaurant was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were treated to exceptional service in a stunning, open-air setting that perfectly captures the beauty of Jamaica. With breathtaking views of the ocean, the ambiance was relaxed yet elegant.
The food was simply outstanding! Every dish was a celebration of local flavors, fresh ingredients, and masterful preparation. Whether it was the perfectly grilled seafood, the vibrant salads, or the mouth-watering desserts, each bite was a taste of paradise. The blend of Jamaican spices with international culinary techniques made the menu truly unique.
The staff were attentive and welcoming, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every need was met without being intrusive. The attention to detail and genuine warmth made the evening even more special.

We had a wonderful week at Hermosa Cove and dining multiple times at Christopher's. Everything was wonderful from the continental and menu breakfast, to drinks during the day, and dining with the Caribbean sunset at night. The food was excellent and chef Conrad was willing to make any dish accommodating especially for my kiddos. The fresh fish every night was a delight, and we finished the week with a barbecue at the Broken Rudder with excellent fish and lobster and the most excellent bread pudding and pina colada ice cream. We went off resort a couple times during our trip, but always missed dining at Christopher's when we did. Thanks for a wonderful week!
