Food was cold and service was slow! Don't waste your time! Go down street much better authentic food.

We came to this restaurant as part of the trip with Thomson/First Choice and were pleasantly surprised. Once we arrived and were seated, we were given a fruit punch and served a meal of jerk chicken with rice and peas. The vegetables that accompanied were so tasty that we've tried to recreate this meal many times since we've been back.... More

cold dried up jerk chicken. we went here during a trip so clearly they had pre-cooked and attempted to keep warm the food but it wasn't good.

The food was hit or miss. My partner thought the red peas chicken soup was the best he has had. I enjoyed it as well. He had pasta which was also very good, but the rice and peas with curried goat was subpar. The atmosphere is nice, but has potential to be better. The disco lights made it look cheap.... More

Very average restaurant with okay atmosphere. Certainly not cheap but mostly tourist pricing. It's a safe option for folks coming in on a cruise ship as it's easy to find and very prominent on the main road. Food is decent at best but service was super slow.

Visited this place for much during a day trip. It was the best jerk chicken I had during my stay in Jamaica. Staff were friendly and polite and it was a really relaxed environment which you expect from Jamaica. Perfect visit!

I'd never been to this place before. We were just driving by and heard the music and stopped in. When I tell you that the food and music was great. I had chicken spring rolls and table had pizza. Amazing. Fresh made to order. The live band was a great plus. There were different performers. There was also a photographer,... More

I ate the curry lobster and mash potatoes, and it was delicious. I wish I was there in Jamaica to eat some more of the food.

We visited Mongoose for lunch on a weekday. It was not really busy but the workers seemed to be preoccupied with other things instead of focusing on properly sitting us and taking our orders in a timely manner. Upon looking at the menu I noticed the prices where a little overpriced. After receiving our order the food just tasted alright.... More

Description
Mongoose Jamaica is more than a Restaurant, it's an experience. This Restaurant is "something different," We did something 'different' with the name as well, when we choose the "Mongoose" which has a rich history in Jamaica. Breakfast ranges from typical Jamaican fare of ackee and salt fish to pancakes and French toast. For dinner, there's chicken southern fried, curried, grilled lobster, grilled or curried, pork or steak. If you prefer, grab a sandwich, a pizza, some Jamaican jerk, or something from the grill, or maybe a cocktail from the bar. Black forest cakes and cheesecakes are our specialty desserts.
