We met friends here one afternoon for drinks and food. At first the bar lady was a little frosty but seemed to warm to us as the afternoon progressed. This restaurant is popular with group tours and as we left it late to order they had run out of jerk chicken however the wings and fries we did have were nice although a little small on portion size. The final bill was very reasonable, given the number of drinks we had, and the garden setting here is nice to spend a few hours.

We were taken here by the guide we hired for the day who told us it was the best Jerk chicken in Jamaica. Indeed, food was delicious and my 11 year old is still taking about it days later. We were totally happy there but I do know some people might be put off by the plastic utensils, paper plates and dogs and cats wondering around between the tables. Also, know that the menu is limited and several of the items that we wanted to order were not available (they were being cooked which takes quite a while ... too long to wait for. As long as you can be flexible and go with the flow of what is available I highly recommend and would definitely go there again!

We booked a private driver to visit Scotchies for lunch. The food was delicious! We had 1/4lb of the chicken, a 1/4 lb of the jerk pork, festivals (kind of like a tubular hush puppy), sweet potatoes, the pork sausage, and 2 beers and this came to $24 USD. We can't say enough about how good the food was. We got there shortly after they opened so it was not crowded at all. Highly recommend!

A great ambiance the service was very good the waitress were helpful the jerk pork was delicious the jerk chicken for me was wanting of being jerk. I would say smoked chicken but I guess for the palate of less seasoning it suffices. I would certainly go again I recommend it for family style dining ( the huts are quaint) my quest for the real “Jamaican Jerk chicken” still continues. Oh and don’t order the rice and peas the better choice of side is the festival and the corn.

This is a myst stop for local Jamaican cuisine! The line was long, but moved quickly. I had the Jamaican jerk chicken/pork sampler with bammy and festival bread! Super delicious! They were sold out of the traditional rice and peas when I arrived! It is all slow cooked on an open fire where everyone can see and smell the aroma of BBQ which leads to the anticipation of eating!!! Enjoy your meal with a Red Stripe beer to wash it all down! The atmosphere was relaxed and the dining areas were open covered areas in a communal pic-nic manner. Super delicious and I highly recommend this stop!!!

I love this place so much I memorized the menus so I could come back on Tuesday Thursday or Sunday for the ribs. Everything is cooked for perfection. They take Jamaican dollars but if you don't have any you can use credit as well.

Lovely jerk chicken and jerk pork. I tried them both. It got served with rice & beans and a Jamaican festival (Caribbean dumpling, it has a sweet taste to it). TIPS - go and check out the kitchen. The meat is prepared on a very unique way (see picture). They use wood and smoke the meat until crispy. - try their chili hot sauce! The pricing was reasonable. It tastes a lot different than the jerk that you get in your resort. Overall impression: I recommend this place.

The restaurant is all outside so no AC in the summer it's probably pretty hot. The waitress we had took forever with our food and when we got it it was cold. We asked for them to heat it up and it came back cold again . They also just give you a tiny bit of food. If we ever returned I would order my food at the counter and wait on it myself . Waiting on the waitress will give you cold food. It is a cool place to go and have a few drinks and just chill .

What a horrible stop, put a cloud over our whole day. Never seen a restaurant work so hard to be so rude. We were hungry and our driver offered to take us here. Every driver always mentions this place and is always trying to take you to Scotchie’s when you mention you are hungry (probably get a kickback). We walked in and everything looked great. Went up to the counter with a friendly smile and said to the young lady at the counter, “good afternoon how are you?” She just stared at me with a disgusted look on her face. I glanced around confused, saw two other women standing behind the counter staring me down not saying anything. Again I said, “Hello, how are you?” They all just continued staring at us like I had just insulted them. I had my whole family of 5 in there, we immediately felt uncomfortable and were left to flounder in front of the scowls while they all remained silent. They obviously didn’t want us there, didn’t answer our questions and it really ruined our whole afternoon. With the state of their economy and lack of tourist at the moment, you would think they would welcome a 5 top coming in hungry. If this were my business I would be mortified. WAY better food available all over the place, I would skip this one

I was honestly not impressed, while the food was ok it was definitely not worth waiting for the entire drive from Montego Bay. The pork was very tender but it lacked the jerk flavor, the same with the chicken. To top it off the prices were over the top; $100 for 1 festival and $1500 for half of a chicken. Today I paid $550 for superb 1/4 chicken and 3 festivals in Portland which was by far better.

My family and I stopped by Scotchies in St. Ann, Jamaica a few days ago after a mini vacation at a resort. The staff was ok, we waited about 20 mins for our food. Bathroom facilities needed an upgrade. The toilet in the female bathroom was running, there was no paper towel and an automatic soap dispenser ought to be considered given the pandemic and the easy spread of germs. There was no music or anything exciting about the ambiance, just order your food and sit and eat or go if you wish. The sides loke roast sweet potato need to be bigger for the cost.

The chicken should not be sold as jerk chicken, but as grilled chicken. The chicken is grilled to perfection but it has no seasoning except for salt. The jerk sauce is something you have to ask for and add it on yourself. This defeats the perpose of buying jerk chicken which is supposed to be seasoned with jerk sauce. The chicken is raw because there is no seasoning to cut the rawness. If you know what real jerk chicken taste like, don't go to the one in Montego Bay. You will be very disappointed. I am told that the other Scothies that are not in the tourist area marinates and grill the chicken with the jerk seasoning. This makes a world of difference. This one does not. The jerk sauce they give you on the side is really good but very spicy.

We went there for lunch on our way back from Dunns River. They by far have the best jerk chicken and pork around. Prices are affordable, staff is super nice and it’s a very cute villa style outdoor restaurant. You can eat it many places but this is by far the best. They are a family owned so no matter which one you go to your going to get the same meat since it’s all prepared in one location and send to the other locations each day.

We went to Scoochie's after Dunn's river falls, dew minutes away. One of the best roast pork even. The jerk chickens was a little dry, but the pork was well worth it. A must have if you visit Jamaica.
