We were ravenous after a few hours at the Gully River Blue Hole and we stopped at Scotchie's for a late lunch. The jerk chicken was tender and quite flavorful with a nice kick. The roast fish was not ready so my husband settled for rice & peas with added hot sauce. Reasonably priced & delicious.

$5.00 US lunch. Polk or chIcken. Polk is spicy but I like!! Chicken is kinda dry. Very friendly staff. You can't walk there. Can cost more than lunch. Good experience!

Enjoyed this very much. Glen Garwood of Jamaicaxplored.com was our tour guide. He takes good care of his clients. Sharing the best of Jamaica. Food was very good. Glen picked everything out explaining all and sharing food with us. By end of tour he was like family.

The food was good. Not great. Service was below average. This is supposed to be a "locals place" with the best Jamaican jerk food. That's what we were told at our resort. There's no way the locals could afford eating here at the prices they charge to tourists. I spoke with locals about the minimum rate of pay and then... More

The food was fresh, came out much quicker than at other restaurants I have frequented. The jerk chicken and conch soup were pretty tasty. I think it's worth making a visit to try out some authentic Jamaican food

Hot , fresh food. Okay not as good as people are talking about! The line to get your food or service was long.

We came here as part of our tour to get some Jerk Pork and Chicken and a nice cold Red Stripe beer! They had excellent jerk pork and chicken cooked over an open log fire. The restaurant is open and you eat outside on picnic tables which is very nice. The grounds have plenty of beautiful plants and flowering trees.... More

Since our hotel really had no authentic local food, we ventured out with our tour guide, Dr. Fun tours, and went to Scotchies. Food was awesome, great atmosphere, all around good time. Would definitely go again. Jerk chicken and pork were both delicious.

A Jamaican institution in Ocho Rio (Ochi to the locals). Open-air restaurant nicely laid out with gardens surrounding the seating and good jerk. Not as spicy as we expected but its all about the sauce you add! The chicken/pork is cooked sitting on top of logs which extend over a fire and then covered with galvanized metal sheets (all adds...
