The food is barely edible. That's the best thing about this awful place. The people are hostile and rude - even by the standards of an island legendary for its terrible service standards. Eat out of a bin before you eat here. If you need...to go somewhere where there is at least some hope of "quality", there is a KFC 200 metres further up the road towards Montego Bay centre.More

Best Jerk Pork in the world. Excellent service. Jerk Pork served with typical Jamaican Red Stripe Beer makes a delectable meal.

We ordered both the chicken and pork. It was all delicious. Fresh, tender, and flavorful. Authentic food, not far from the port.

Tried jerk chicken at several places in Jamaica, so thought to taste jerk pork this time at this MoBay eatery. Got early around 10 AM at this restaurant as I had a flight to catch to the US in the early afternoon. Had to wait...for more than an hour as they start taking orders only after 11 AM. Took the risk of missing the flight to taste jerk port of this restaurant. Ordered 1/2 lb jerk pork and waited to see how they cook their jerk chicken and jerk pork. They cook the meat on open outdoor grill on the large galvanized steel sheets. In order to circulate the smoke into the meat, they place firewood on the top of the meat and then cover them by another galvanized steel sheets, a real Jamaican style! Hastily grabbed the meat once done in take out box and took taxi straight to the airport. When tasted, so soft, tender and juicy! The best jerk pork in Jamaica! Don't miss if you are around MoBay.More

Pork is great--tender, juicy, flavorful. Chicken a bit dry. Rice and peas delicious. Roti OK (nothing special). Bammy great. Corn OK. Shrimp not good (overcooked). They do take credit card. We could have ordered the lean pork but didn't. Would definitely go back! Make sure...you go to the actual meat pit to get your meat instead of waiting at the indoor counter.More

Pork Pit is fantastic. We ordered 1/2 lb chicken and 1/2 pound of pork. The food is cooked on an outdoor grill that has galvanized steel placed on top of the meat to keep the smoke from the food circulating. The pork was tastier than...the chicken but the chicken was still very good. The food was fantastic. My wife and I liked the food hear better than at Scotchies. The seating is outside on picnic benches/ They accept both American Dollars, Jamaican dollars and credit cards.More

I do not eat pork so I can’t write a review about that, but my husband ordered 1/4 jerk chicken and a side of rice & peas that he thoroughly enjoyed! He also ordered a pork sausage, but he didn’t like it so much. I...ordered the shrimp and fries. The fries were fresh and tasty, but the shells on the shrimp were unusually difficult to remove and tasted very rubbery so I don’t know if whey were as fresh. They were spicy as promised but I don’t know if I’d order them again if I returned to this restaurant. I was very underwhelmed. The atmosphere was relaxed as it’s not a fully enclosed building. The name says it all - it’s a pit where food is cooked outside. We didn’t enjoy the fresh air at one of the picnic tables and a box juice was refreshing for a very warm day. Not sure if I will eat here again the next time I visit MoBay, but I’m glad I did try at least once. The rating is more like a 3.5 but I’ll rate up rather than down, hence the 4-star rating.More

Good chicken, and the pork was also darn good. The people were absolutely not very friendly as was consistent with our experience on most of the trip.

Actually the restaurant and the inn share the same plot, but who would want to stay there and smell food all day?
