We went to The Pork Pit for lunch. There is a good choice of traditional Jamaican jerk dishes on the menu including chicken, pork, ribs and fish with a choice of sides including fries and plantain. The meat is coated with jerk spices and cooked over hot coals. I ordered the 1/4 jerk chicken with fries and a Red Stripe... More

Amazing. Priced right. Tastes great. Fun to see the charcoal cooker. A must to visit. We toured other jerk chicken locations but for the money and view of the beach in Montego Bay the Pork Pit was the best value

It doesn't get any more authentic than this! It's quite rustic and a little run down, but everything our group ate was hot, spicy and delicious. A Montego Bay must!

Love the food, had no idea what we were getting into albeit the food was wonderful. I was surprised to find out that it was a self serve restaurant. Very casual. Open fire pit in the middle of the place, very popular with the locals. Felt it was very authentic. We both had the lean pork, will try the chicken... More

Very casual environment. Affordable with a good variety of sides and protein. The jerk chicken was well done and paired well with bread and ripe plantains. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We didn't read previous reviews well enough and thought this was a restaurant. It is in fact a "fast food" jerk place BUT with much better food. The meat is cooked slowly over hot coals and is very tasty. The hot shrimps were nice as well as the jerk chicken. Prices are reasonable too. A good option for a quick,... More

The way to roast the meat in this place really caught my attention, i.e. sticks of wood as a base on top of the metal frame holding the coals, superbly marinated pork meat and ribs, a plank of zinc on top to provide heat, keep the moisture, add smoke, how more ingenious can this type of cooking be? The result... More

Not very friendly but good food. Not fantastic. Pork is dry but good seasoning and jerk . Had the rice and peas. Not too much flavor

This place is a must for all who loves chicken and pork cooked the right way. The taste is delicious and it leaves you wanting more long after leaving. The atmosphere inside and out is very relaxing. Would recommend without hesitation.

Having this been our first time in Jamaica & our first time trying real authentic jerk flavored anything, this place was awesome!! I would go back at least once every visit to the island. Only complaint we had was that there were too many bones in the chicken. Pork was amazing though!!!
