The Devon House Bakery is a Jamaican tradition. Set in the grounds of historic Devon House, the bakery makes it's own unique style of patti. Available in many flavors, all delicious. Buy your food, and then sit in the garden outside and enjoy your meal.

I spent a quiet couple of hours at Devon House one Sunday. Most places were shut but the bakery, I Scream and Cafe were open from 11am. Chicken Pattie was delicious as was the Devon Stout icecream which was huge! Don't go on a Sunday if you want shop.!

In the grounds of the great House but accessible for casual visitors. The cafe has a range of delicious local food - bought extra treats for the long journey back to our hotel.

Provided it's not a holiday (because the lines are massive!), you will find this corner bakery very Jamaican, and very satisfying. The Jamaican patties they offer are very good (try the lobster one!), and when you're done, there's always the "i-scream" (yeah, ice cream) right up front. Enjoy! Food: 9 Service: 8 Environment: 9

I am not a fan of anything that is crunchy but, just the look alone captivated me and one bite was all it took for me to become hooked. I loved it ever since and every trip to the city sees me stopping by.

Got to try the curried goat patty and enjoyed it - spicy and full of flavour. I always enjoy the other pastry they offer. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Devon House and its surroundings is a great place to escape to for some tranquility in the city. It seems to be especially popular on Sundays as evidenced by the long lines when we stopped by late one Sunday afternoon. We visited the bakery at other times and sat in the courtyard to devour our baked goods. There are varieties... More

They have a wide variety of patties including lobster, goat curry etc. They are bigger than the patties you get at pattie places and are mouthwatering delicious.
