I’ve heard this place used to be great but it seems it has changed to new management . I bought jerk chicken, festivals, and soup. It was overpriced. The chicken didn’t taste like authentic jerk at all. Ive has pan chicken that taste as good.
Never been to Stony Hill and here was an eatery joint in the area with rave reviews. Why not try it out? Now, here's the funny bit. I saw the reviews alright but never put it together that the propreitress, Patra, is, of course, dancehall...queen Patra. Queen of the park. Anyways, we got there and it was after we ate ( we had to ensure a bit of a wait as pre booked orders were being sorted and Patra gave us free soups for the inconvenience. Bless her!)and then she told me she's still queen of the park that it clicked for me! Wow, it's not daily I get served by a dancehall queen legend. I was buzzing all the way home. On topic, the food was scrumptious, the jerked chicken fantastically done. I immensely enjoyed every morsel and we polished it all off. Patra was a gracious host, took time out to take pics with us and revealed to us she's not done with music yet. Cyaan wait!More
This was the BEST FOOD WE HAD IN JAMAICA!!😋 Best Jerk chicken, most flavorful rice and beans (wonderful spice!), and she threw together some veggies for us that were AMAZING. We also tried the Conch soup (YUM!!), the plantains were a fantastic treat, and she...gave us some Roti to try on the house (the soup was also a large “taste tester”. The couple who runs this place are so lovely and everyone else was as well! We sat outside and petted the kitty cats who lived there but lots of people came up and got food to go. Can’t wait to go back!!❤️More
Best jerk spot, food is always consistent on taste and customer service is awesome... Patra has a way of letting her customers feel like her only customer.... I highly recommend this place to all my friends
There are Jerk Centres and there are Jerk Centres. Meaning some stand out...Chateau is a stand out. A bit out of the way, not centrally located but if youre willing to make the trip up through Manor Park and up Long Lane, you will not...be disappointed. Their Jerk has a Unique flavour, that is a secret, enhanced for the Pork lovers, as they use wild boar, along with other splendid items like amazing Janga Soup. An intimate and personal family run "joint" that maintains a maybe little too rustic ambiance, which isn't a negative, other than wanting it a bit more comfy so one will want to stay longer.More
Believe the hype- well worth the trip up to Stony Hill! A welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city... First time I have ever had curried pork was from there, and she makes roti like I get in Gimme-me-Bit in Clarendon- authentic...Indian curry and rotis... they also have a wide musical selection always playing. This place never ceases to amaze me a true hidden gem. I have travelled miles and brought family, friends and coworkers from all over just to have Patra's Sexy Pork, as my wife says she believes she sings to the pork before she's cooks it....Succulent meat, excellent flavour, exceptional customer service, I've grown to feel like family there because of my experiences with the entire team. Prices are reasonable and with its rustic charm the ambiance is that of country side kitchen which brings you back to when you would visit grandparents in the country. If it's not from Patra's kitchen it nuh mek sense.More
This place sells THE BEST jerk chicken and jerk pork to be found in Jamaica (and that is saying something...), tender, luscious, beautifully seasoned! Moreover, the menu is quite extensive, apart from the usual pork and chicken generally served at jerk pits: you can get...jerk conch, ackee and sailfish fritters (another typical Jamaican speciality), various delicious soups (fish, conch, vegetable, chicken), pot roast jerk pork (my niece absolutely swears by this), and soon, I'm told, there will be jerk beef ribs as well (I can't wait...) There are also fresh juices (pineapple, June plum, otaheite apple, with or without added ginger), and side orders such as fried plantain (both ripe and green), bammies (i.e. ried cassava galettes, for the uninitiated), festival (another typical Jamaican starchy side-order). I live near-by, so I'm constantly buying food to take out, but it's also a great place to just sit and and be served: it has both the atmosphere of a roadside jerk pit, and that of a really cool restaurant. Patra & Donahue, the genial owners and hosts, are constantly coming up with new ideas for even more delicious dishes: they've started doing jerk sausage as well now. Really, NOT to be missed!More

Been here twice so far, the pine ginger drinks are fresh and I've never had juice from Ethiopian apples. Curiosity got me to visit this spot. I heard a lot of good things about the food, I know the owner and I felt for a different menu. I was not disappointed, the atmosphere was rustic and welcoming, as were the staff. The food was...not the typical jerk, there was a difference with the flavor and texture of my chicken, the side-orders were as if I was getting served from my own kitchen at home. A must visit for me again.More
There is a valid reason why Chateau 7 has such good reviews... the food is GOOD ! Spotted this place on our way back from Portland earlier in the week and decided we would try it for Saturday lunch. Just the two of us with...takeout for the kids. We ordered the Jerk Chicken, Pork, Jerk Pot Pork, bammies, breadfruit and plantains.... oh I forgot about the natural juices ... I guess we were hungry ! Everything was spectacular so much so that we decided to order an extra to-go for a friend who is in his own words a Connaisseur of good Jerk. So my first day in Jamaica, a close friend of mine took me to this place. I was hungry and she mentioned that there was a spot that does fantastic authentic Jamaican jerk. I was all in. Went to Chateau 7 and was not expecting...anything besides some good jerk bbq. I wanted to try everything, but had to curb my greed. Ordered pepper pot soup, Roasted Breadfruit, fried plantain, Ackee and salt-fish Fritters, and the Sexy Jerk Pork. EVERYTHING...... was AMAZING!! I want to specifically talk about the Jerk Pork though. Now, I've had jerk pork before, but there is absolutely no comparison to this masterpiece! I don't even like pork, and this dish was literally the best Jerked Meat I've ever eaten in my ENTIRE life! I am a foodie. I eat Caribbean food on the daily, and this literally blew my mind. It needs to be patented! It's that amazing! I will be going back several times before I leave, but for now just know that this place is a must visit.
