We have been to this restaurant numerous time and we always love the food and the people that cater to us. This summer we went their three time and enjoyed every minute of our stay. I encourage who ever visits Punta Cana to go and enjoy the delicious food that they have at Captain Cook and by the way ask... More

Wow. We were staying up the beach at the occidental grand, and decided to walk down to Captain Cook's on the last day of our vacation. I wish we'd gone sooner! This place is a gem. Right on the beach, great friendly staff, and the food is excellent. We got the mixed grilled seafood for two ($60 US) and it... More

Read many reviews about this place and was eager to try it. By chance it was a five minute walk along the beach from where we were staying. We had soup to start with, this was out of this world and if I'm honest was enough to class as a main meal. We opted for the fish platter for our... More

We ate here twice, since we afraid we can't find any where else better so didn't bother to look after our first visit. Oscar is nice who explain everything and serving us. Don't forget to ask for Johnny if you want any excursion tours, or any thing you want to know about the area! Of course price on things can... More

Captain Cook never disappoints. Great food that is so fresh. We had lobster, lagostinos and crab claws. The very best. Restrooms are not for the timid and the service sometimes a little slow, but the food outweighs any negatives!!! Highly recommend. Don't be afraid of the locals, they are all friendly and welcoming!! Just enjoy.

Although the menu prices (in Dominican currency) really didn't seem bad, by the time the waiter converted currency, added the 18% tax, & gave us a total in USD, the price was through the roof. Using a conservative conversion factor, I was expecting my 2 giant crab legs to be @ $15 USD. (Pricing is by the pound & I... More

Great seafood right on the beach. A little hard to find but its there. They have a nice patio on the beach and you can look right at the ocean and the white sandy beach. The service was ok, and the food was good. The price was a bit much, but we were on the beach. If you like seafood... More

We were a big group of 18 and our waiter Oscar was great and served us with a smile and explained everything even showed us the fresh fish that they had. We ordered a few seafood platters and other shrimp and crab dishes, food was filling and delicious, they also brought us chips, fried plantains and salad. Prices are abit... More

This is a nice locale, nothing fancy but a touristy "beach' restaurant. The seafood is very fresh and the kitchen is usually reliable. This is a place to enjoy fried or broiled seafood with cold beer, with average service and a nice view, but not a whole lot more.
