The food here was good, but not great. The biggest hang up was that the price for the food did not match the expectations of quality.

My husband and I had lunch here twice during our short stay in Santo Domingo. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious and beautiful to look at. We’ll be back.

It was a little hard to find, as they sometimes move locations, but it's worth finding! We loved their breakfast, we had vegetable tacos. We met their cat, sooo cute. We liked eating here a lot, so we returned later to eat lunch. They have...a fixed menu, and since all the food was vegan, we didn't care what they served. We ate it all, and it was all very tasty. They gave us a mushroom meat with vegetables, brown rice, salad, and pickled beets. Very very good. They need more business, so go and check them out. It's a great option for vegans like me!More

This was a great find for fresh, vegetarian food! They post a daily menu, so you can sit down, order a drink and they will bring you a plate of what they have for the day. Generous portions at good prices.

Absolutely recommended to eat there - delicious food, nice atmosphere and personnel and very attractive prices. We’ll certainly come again!

We are locals at Kalenda! We eat there 2 to 3 times a week because its healthy, great quality and down to earth prices! Would recommend this for vegans or not! It is just straight forward good all healthy food in a very relaxed ambiance....A must in the Colonial Zone! Specially the day dish with comes with a soop, juice and ig plate of food for just under 7 USDMore

We had a bad experience with the service: first, he took the menu from me when I was still reading it, and whenever I tried asking questions he would ignore me despite me asking several times about the options. Then, the waiter brought me something...of his choice that I had not asked for. The soup was good and tasty but the noodles were too salty and I could not finish eating them. I heard this place is good for breakfast. My experience with lunch was not very good.More

We went for breakfast at Kalenda and were very happy with the food and service! We had the Sunday brunch and a mushroom burger, as well as a green smoothie and tamarind juice. Everything was excellent and fresh. Would definitely return!

I've been to Kalenda twice and found the food consistently fresh, flavorful and delicious. The individuals that own the restaurant are also very welcoming and super nice. They were closed because they were reorganizing kitchen appliances and cleaning, but they still fed me. The atmosphere...of the restaurant is relaxing and the neighborhood is historic. If you love Caribbean food and vegetables, then this place is perfect.More
