Found out about this place from one of staff at our hotel about this place. One of the main issues with this place isn't the food, it's the location. Travelers have to look for this place and hope that it is still open by the time they get there. (Recommendation: Not a busy area, though their hours state a 9... More

We took a taxi from just on the other side of the pontoon bridge. Our taxi drivers name was Patricia. We asked her for her input on a good place for food. She said she really don't eat at touristy areas. We said no we wanted some good local food, so she took us to one of her favorite restaurants... More

This is one of the classic Curacao touchstone restaurants. Everything about this place is authentic Curacao style. From the 20th century furniture, classic style bar right to the lime with cloves air freshners (My grandmother had these in her house). The food is prepared well, home style, with good ingredients. The recipes originate prior to a time where concepts like... More

I had been here 30 years ago and went back again last Friday. We were a group of 8 and the restaurant was only half full. There was only one server who took our orders, brought our drinks, delivered the food and bused the tables. It took 25 minutes to get served but we were chatting so the time went... More

A simple, unassuming place that serves the best Curacao food on the island. Try Keshi Yena, Kabritu Stoba, or Karko (cheese and chicken, goat stew, or chonch).

I'm being kind on the 3 star rating as the majority of our group basically hated their food. I'm guessing we just ordered the wrong things? Which is why I'm leaving it at 3. The stroba (beef stew) plate was reportedly good. The fried plantains were so-so. Not the best I've ever had. Three people tried the Okra stew. Yikes.... More
