The service was truly the best I’ve ever experienced. 4 different people helped with our table. A person even escorted us to our car. The owner stopped by to say hello. The food was off the hook good. I love dover sole and theirs was the best I’ve ever eaten. The pasta with truffles was mouth watering. My wife loved it and I took a few delicious bites myself. The cheesecake for dessert was addicting. Lastly, the overall bill was so reasonable for what you got in a tourist destination in the Caribbean.

With every great restaurant it is not only about the food, it is about the details. And clearly this restaurant sweats the details from splitting a Caesar salad or lobster bisque, to serving their courses on hot plates that are too hot to the touch. The food was great, shrimp and red snapper mains cooked perfectly. I visit restaurants almost every week in many countries in my travels and it is rare that any one makes an impression. The wine cellar did. I plan to be back in Curaçao as this island is great and I will definitely be back to the wine cellar as well

What a wonderful restaurant! They consistently serve delicious food, beautifully presented with impeccable service. This was our 5th visit to this lovey restaurant and yes it is a little more expensive than many restaurants on the island but the quality of the food, service and atmosphere is far above other restaurants. It is a must for the anyone wanting a delicious meal that is truly memorable.

Let's start with the most important: food. The chef knows what he is doing. Cuisine is not very creative, not abundant (e.g. limited amount of sauce), but the way everything was prepared was excellent. Dinner is more than just the food you get. Table attendance was a bit mediocre, inappropriate for this price category. Felt like food was thrown on the table. All customers around us had amuses, we did not. Bread served was very standard supermarket quality bread, we asked for a bit more for our starter, never got it. Some good wines on the list but little balance in origin and price. All in all, we enjoyed the evening, yet missed the right balance between price and service offering.

We just left this phenomenal family run restaurant and I had to write this review. It's a Monday night and the place was packed, if that tells you anything! The entire staff, both family and non family, were so friendly -- and the food. It was amazing, I apologize for not having pictures I didn't bring my phone with me but the steak was simply mouth watering, simply cooked yet it bought out every delicate flavor. Honestly, the whole experience, from parking to being walked to our vehicle with advice on what to do on the island just made us feel like family. We have 7 more days here, and we plan to be back.

This is a unique restaurant and we were a table of 4 people. All 4 people enjoyed their meals. The service was impeccable. The owners (Father and Son) each made visits to our table and the other tables to ensure everyone was happy with their dining experience. It's not just the food but the whole experience that made this restaurant special. The deserts were fabulous and unique which was a surprise because many places offer the same old deserts. Try the Cashew pie for example:) The wines were a bit pricey compared to other restaurants we visited but they were very good wines, so perhaps the additional prices were justified. The service was top notch from beginning to end and everyone enjoyed the entire dining experience (food, service, atmosphere). It was definitely 5 star

What an amazing experience! The owner and his staff run a tight ship! While the restaurant doesn’t look like much from the front and the inside could be nicer, the food, service, and personality of this place can’t be beat. Complimentary toast with smoked salmon and French bread are brought to the table when you’re seated. We ordered the tuna carpaccio and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. (Per the owners suggestion) Both were excellent. For our main entrees we ordered the filet and the sole. Best sole I’ve ever had. Potentially the Best vegetables I’ve ever had. Steak was cooked perfectly! Bernaise sauce was Devine. It was expensive but we didn’t care. It was worth every penny! Unbelievable! Definitely go there if you get the chance!

This restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. I had the tenderloin filet which was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms were very tasty. My husband had the truffle pasta and really enjoyed it. Water and wine were consistently topped off throughout the evening. Plenty of street parking outside. I would definitely recommend this place.

The wine cellar along with two other restaurants was recommended to us by our concierge which led us to this amazing cozy restaurant. We were not very hungry but ended up leaving no scraps behind We were seated by a friendly host which gave us a view of the outside. The decor was classy and still managed to be cozy We were served The bread at the table with smoked salmon which melted in our mouths. Then one of the owners came to take our order. They tell us when we come to curacao to talk to the locals. He was a fountain of knowledge. I happen to have all kinds of issues that my family is quite resigned to at this point I could not have white sauce it cannot be greasy I had to be cooked just right and so on and so forth. You manage to understand and changed my appetizer and my entrée. This is a family-owned restaurant which gives the kind of specialized treatment. We had a mushroom appetizer which was out of this world. And then came my grilled shrimp. My issue with large shrimp was that the size does not allow for any taste other than the shrimp itself. He understood what I was talking about and suggested splitting the shrimp in the middle so the sauces could get in. He managed to make that entrée the most appetizing meal I’ve had on the island. Being particular I did not expect to enjoy the wine. Again I was surprised. Finally it was time to leave and we came out to find we are in the middle of a surprise shower. One of the brothers came with an umbrella and lead us to a car. This is service at its best.

Restaurant was easy to find. (In curaçao, some of them are tough to find) everyone was very courteous, the food was great and not super expensive. The owner and his son come around often to make sure everything is great. Dress nice casual, have a glass of wine. Very nice evening

I visited after a 15 year absence and was very pleased that they were delivering the same service and high quality food that I remembered from previous visits. Really a pleasure that the consistency exists. Ambiance and décor is consistent.

My husband and I ate here on our first night in Curacao. The proprietor’s son was very friendly and even went so far as to print out his must sees in Curacao. He recommended the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and they didn’t disappoint! I had the shrimp for my entree. Delicious!

Nice local restaurant which started as a wine bar. Very few tables and run by the father and 2 sons. Large dishes and of course a good wine advice. Very friendly people. The price of the food is normal the wine ( of course ) a bit expensive. But absolutely a restaurant I would recommend!

We enjoyed the food and service! The owner and his son were very friendly! Only place in Curaçao that had good service! The escargot and stuffed mushrooms were excellent! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the lack of loud banging music . The person who complained about the plating is a food snob. Who the heck really cares if the way your food is put on the plate is so 1970’s??? Odd. I would definitely go back. I also loved that they allowed me to try several wines before settling on what glass o wanted for the meal.

What a wonderful classic restaurant! My wife and I had two perfect meals there on our first trip to Curaçao. The staff is completely professional and the ambiance is so conducive to a relaxed dining experience. I had the best filet mignon I believe I've ever tasted end my wife enjoyed the fresh catch of the day which was red snapper. Both meals included perfectly cooked potatoes, carrots and asparagus. I couldn't resist the desserts and enjoyed the cashew pie with ice cream my first trip. Two nights later we went back for the exact same meal and this time had the cheese cake with pecans and caramel sauce, ice cream and whipped cream. We had a nice visit with the owner who made us feel like family. If you want to enjoy an incredible Curaçao dining experience, go to the Wine Cellar for a meal you will want to repeat!
