This is a very classic and - for Curacao - more formal dinner spot. The staff are excellent and look after guests in multiple languages. Seating is a wonderful variety of tables giving the restaurant a cool layout. We were seated at a round table...in the outer dining room and it was great. Of note we were there after dark so we did not have any issues with sun/glare off the glass and could see the downtown very nicely. The food was excellent and served beautifully by the ladies. We had the duck confit appetizer and it was fantastic. I would have liked a larger portion but I am told that is me! The toast and marmalade accompaniment was a superb match. The lobster bisque you can read in numerous other reviews: they aren't kidding, its excellent. We had the rack of lamb, filet, and red snapper mains. The lamb and filet were prepared perfect and the portion was generous (I had the lamb, loved it and they remembered the mint jelly). The fish was good but slightly dry. Stick with the red meat. The wine list was excellent, not huge but it had great variety by grape and region. You would have to work hard not to find something to try. Our malbec was lovely. Finishing with dessert of the double chocolate cake was perfect. It was excellent, moist and very chocolatey. The portion was perfect for how rich this dessert was. This would definitely be a recommended place to take someone special for a very classy night out. And I thought the prices given the service, the unrushed dining experience, the excellent food, and presentation were very good. I look forward to seeing them again.More

The service was truly the best I’ve ever experienced. 4 different people helped with our table. A person even escorted us to our car. The owner stopped by to say hello. The food was off the hook good. I love dover sole and theirs was...the best I’ve ever eaten. The pasta with truffles was mouth watering. My wife loved it and I took a few delicious bites myself. The cheesecake for dessert was addicting. Lastly, the overall bill was so reasonable for what you got in a tourist destination in the Caribbean.More

Our family had the most amazing experience at wine cellar. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had the most perfect quaint ambiance. They offered a delicious complimentary appetizer and after-dinner chocolates. The food was absolutely delicious, only to be outdone by the amazing...service. They even called us a taxi at the end of dinner.More

I absolutely loved my time at the wine cellar. I’ve eaten at quite a few restaurants in curaçao as a frequent visitor myself & I can truly say this has been top 2 experiences. I visited for my birthday & the staff were very attentive...& even decorated our table for my birthday with confetti & complimentary champagne. The food was stellar, the shrimp cocktail is great & the filet mignon was tender & well cooked. Definitely worth the visit! One of the more expensive restaurants on the island for sure but in my opinion it’s worth every penny. We will definitely be back!More

We went hete for our anniversary dinner. Could not have made a better choice. Ambience and service were excellent. But the real star was the food, nicely presented and very flavorable. Will definitely return next time in Curacao.

I’m not sure I can adequately describe the wonderful experience we had at the Wine Cellar. Everything was perfect. From the time we arrived (which by the way was twenty minutes before they opened - miscalculation on the cab ride, but they graciously seated us)...until we left, they were so friendly and accommodating. It was our wedding anniversary and the table was specially decorated for the occasion and they served us complimentary champagne. (Note: my wife doesn’t like champagne but loved this and finished it!) We had they stuffed mushrooms and Caesar’s salad to start. Both were wonderful along with the freshly baked French banquette. My wife had the sole of Dover with capers and it was delicious. I had the filet. I forgot to ask for a steak knife, but silly me I could easily cut it with my butter knife. It was so tender and flavorful. For dessert we shared the crepes Suzette. It was really good with the fresh made vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The service was perfect - not rushed and yet very attentive. All of the staff were super friendly and just plain nice. Don’t hesitate to go to the Wine Cellar. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.More

Nice, small, air conditioned spot with fine dining. The food was good, but definitely can find better in Curaçao. Pricy for the portion sizes and quality. Overall good, but don’t know if I’d need to return if I come back to the island!

5+ stars, wonderful people, atmosphere and food. We arrived early and they let us in and gave us a Beautiful table. They have an extensive nice wine list, and anything on the menu is delicious. We started with the escargot and scallops, fantastic. Then we...each had filet mignon, which was so tender and delicious you could cut with a fork. they gave us complementary chocolates and port for dessert. Amazing experience and Daniel and his brothers were so nice. Highly recommend!!More

We were visiting the downtown market place in Willemstad looking at all the colorful building along the ocean inlet front. Doing the things tourist do. In and out of shops. Buying souvenirs to take home. Taking pictures. When we decided it was time to eat....My son found the most incredible restaurant. The Wine Cellar! It was about a 12 minute walk from the market place but worth every step. The restaurant is quaint with touches from the last 50 years with a little flare of modern when you walk in. The staff was beyond wonderful. They were very warm and friendly. We were a group of 10 including my 16 month old granddaughter. They welcomed us with open arms. Anthony the original owners son brought us our drinks. We started of with drinks from dirty martinis to old fashions. Then switched to wine with dinner. The wine list was amazing! We all had the lobster bisque to start off our phenomenal meal. We each received a LARGE bowl of hot, out of this world lobster bisque along with freshly baked bread right out of the oven. Our dinners came out next. Most of us chose the tenderloin, filet of beef that literally melted in your mouth. My son in law had the rack of lamb that was absolutely delicious he said. One of the waitresses mother was the chef. She came out to see us. We gave her a round of applause for fixing us such an incredible meal from start to finish. Our time there was truly remarkable. By far, we all agreed, was our BEST meal in Curaçao! It is off the beaten path a little bit but make sure you go there! You won’t regret spending time with these incredible people and leaving knowing you had the best dinner in town. They are also open for lunch. Thank you for such a memorable evening!More

What a beautiful restaurant with great food. The service was a little too rigid and formal, though excellent. Everything was so exact! I was out for dinner at a lovely restaurant and a little less formality and more warmth would have been appreciated. The restaurant...is a bit out of the main town, so a taxi was needed to reach it!More
