The whole ambiance is like a big eating festival only available on Sundays for lunch. The food is local and very good. It's luckily not that touristic, so the majority of the guests are local.

We left on a sight seeing adventure, and we're looking for a spot to have lunch. The stoba fit the occasion very well. Lots of people coming from church to eat, it was a very nice atmosphere.

We love to visit Landhuis Daniel for dinner. They grow their own vegetables and their dishes are very tasty. We especially enjoyed the special evening when they were serving "Nasi", an Indonesian buffet. Service is slow, but relax, you are on vacation!

I was expecting Landhuis Daniel to be a bit fancier and more upscale but it was very nice. They played great music. Cool ambience. Enjoyed a tasty lunch.

Great service. Great food. It was delicious. My daughter and her friend (both 17) shared a 3 course meal. I had a 3 course meal. My boyfriend had the tenderloin. We practically licked our plates. The food was so good. The salad was amazing. The bouillabaisse was delicious. The creme brûlée and coconut ice cream was probably the best dessert... More

We arrived at the restaurant an hour before our reservation. (We were not sure how long it would take to drive with the traffic.) There was no problem and were warmly greeted. We were stated on the terrace in front of the plantation. We started with a pitcher of Sangria and fish bits. The salad ingredients are organic and grown... More

For starters, it's essential to know that a "Landhuis" on Curacao is an 18th or 19th-century plantation. These consisted of a relatively large, comfortable home for the plantation owners (Dutch), surrounded by barns, slave quarters, and other outbuildings. And don't gloss over the slave bit; that's what made it all possible. More on this later. There are about 50 of... More

We have been to the restaurant three times now, twice for lunch and once for dinner. The dinner was the highlight being their once-a-month rijstafel. It was such a pleasure having such a high quality meal. The beef rendang was excellent and so nice to have a satay that was freshly made. Every dish, even the rice, was tasty and... More

We are use to eating at 5 p.m. for dinner. We arrived at Daniels on our first night on the island around that time and they were just opening. I am glad we got there early as it soon filled up. The service is slow like most every restaurant we went to during our 15 day stay so do not... More

We loved this restaurant. We had lunch here three times during our 2-week stay (we had most dinners at our rental villa). We have Sunshine, the owner of Sol Food (another excellent restaurant) to thank for the recommendation. Everything on the menu sounded great; it was hard to decide what to order. I especially liked the pate sandwich and the... More
