Barbacoa is great when you are dying for a nice steak/filet in the carribean, BUT every year we go, we find that the service is SLOWER and the waiters aren't as friendly. If you are in no rush, or don't care about service, the MEAT is PHENOMINAL!!!

This is a nice restaurant, located between the Starfish Quatros palmas and the Barceló Arenas Blanca. I would recommend it as one of the top 10, but there are better places to eat in varadero. The Langosta is always good, problem here is their Langosta is sometimes small.

Came here for lunch 3 times during my stay in Varadero. The steaks they make are top notch quality, the cheapest steak there cost 12CUC yet tasted significantly better than a steak twice that price back home. Also had a steak/lobster combo for 29CUC which was much better than anything you could get at Red Lobster! If you stay in... More

This was hands down the best restaurant we visited in Varadero, their steaks are simply delicious,, and their seafood amazing. Their staff is very professional and courteous, The best part is that we had a fancy steak dinner, without the fancy steakhouse price.

Ok so maybe it was more than the sign. It was across the street from our resort. That was the only 2 reasons for trying it out. Last year We ate at El Rancho twice and it was amazing but thought Id try something new. Loved the outdoor patio and nice breeze. The service was fairly good. We went here... More

We (2 people) ate dinner at Barbacoa on recommendation from a local. We were seated right away on the terrace with a view of the main street entering Varadero. Watching the old cars go by was enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, the place was clean, and was more upscale than anything else we experienced in Cuba (It would be casual... More
