the old home of Al Capone was quaint and historic--spotless clean and interesting to view--the food was excellent and reasonably priced--right on the beach

We went for a walk a decided to stop by La casa de Al. Really nice place to have a drink or eat something while facing the turquoise waters of Varadero beach.

The food was completely gross but the view was pretty and cool to watch jelly fish but in the location the shade makes it quite cold when it is windy

Great meal, great service, quaint atmosphere, outdoor seating was fantastic and a very friendly mariachi band played for us. Overall a very positive experience that will not soon be forgotten.

Walked there from Roc Barlovento , it was in the Am , sat on the patio which is right on the water , the waves were crashing against the break wall. Had the Mojito's just for a drink and relax by the sea.

We had heard rumours about Al Capone's old mansion still being in existence and were happily surprised. The house is in great shape considering it's age and use. We ordered a couple of Mojitos out on the deck overlooking the magnificent Caribbean Sea. The service...was great and the cocktails were terrific. I would enjoy going back for dinner.More

Had the mojito "Al Capone" there, tastes amazing. Had a real feeling of being in the middle of "Godfather" movie shooting (-:

What a lovely, hidden gem! This stone building is old, of course, but spacious and beautifully decorated. The menu offers basic dishes, deliciously prepared. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We really enjoyed the music they were playing (Cuban covers of popular music), as well...as the attention we received from our two dining companions (what we believe to be a mother cat and her kitten)! The restaurant backs onto the ocean, with access to the terrace from the beach, so after our meal we sat outside, enjoyed the cool night breeze, listened to the waves and watched the moonlight cascade across the water. Romantic and mesmerizing!More

This is a nice place to stop at and have a drink overlooking the Ocean. Kind of a dead restaurant at night. Bets to see it during the day. You might even get to feed some pelicans!
