We found this restaurant in the park earlier in the day and made a reservation for that evening. They were ready for us when we arrived and the service and food was wonderful. I had a shrimp dish and my wife had a chicken one and they were both delicious. The food was hot, tasty, and plentiful. They have an... More

Third time at La Campana. Its a $10-15 cab ride from the Melia to this reataurant. This is a govt operated restaurant in sort of a park with other restaurants. I believe it was the old Batista estate taken over by the govt after the revolution. Decent Cuban fare. Typically have lobster dinner. This time it was just OK I... More

We had a nice meal at "La Campana". The service is gentle and fast. Food is cheap and very tasty, with only local food plates. You won't regret visiting this place. Search deep within the Josone Park.

State run restaurant on former Batista Estate. Expropriated by Fidel who transferred it to the people. Now the hunting lodge of that expansive estate is open to the public and serving prix-fix lunches and dinners. 3 course dinner included choice of soup or salad, 2 several different meat and seafood entrees and dessert. 15 CUC's. The menu consists of mainly... More

Came here at roughly 9:pm for dinner. The menu was very minimal and average price was $15cuc. That included an avocado salad for the table, one large dish of congris for the table as well, and one entree each. Upon finishing, we all had the option of dessert as well. We all opted for the flan. A MUST!! Especially (if... More

this is my second time and again not disappointed. I have found that in Cuba if you want to get great food eat what the locals do. As for value i don't think you can beat it soup bread salad main and a drink for under 20CUC

La Campana - in Josone Park. - This was our favorite meal in Varadero. We had a very tasy Cuban dish, and also the shrimp dish was very good (lots of shrimp!). Our meals came with soup, bread, salad, rice and beans. All of it was delicious. We ate outside on the verandah and it was a very pleasant atmosphere.... More
