La Campana - in Josone Park. - This was our favorite meal in Varadero. We had a very tasy Cuban dish, and also the shrimp dish was very good (lots of shrimp!). Our meals came with soup, bread, salad, rice and beans. All of it was delicious. We ate outside on the verandah and it was a very pleasant atmosphere.... More

We were greated in the park looking for the Cave restaurant by the owner of this restaurant, shown the menu and was offered a free bottle of wine to come and dine here...We went inside to find a very nice and elequant restaruant, and very happy with the wonderful Surf and Turf we had here, a lot of food for... I had lunch in this restaurant located in Varadero's park. For 15 CUC, I had a full meal: soup, salad, 1/2 grilled cuban lobster ( delicious!), rica and beans, dessert ( coconut type of flan), coffee and a glass of wine. The service was excellent and the food fresh and delicious! It is a bit expensive for Cuba's standards but... More

The restaurant is a long walk into the middle of the park, but at least it was nice and quiet. We had steak and lobster, soup, a drink, dessert and coffee for 20 CUC. The service was fast, too fast in my mind, as we like to enjoy a drink beforehand, and a smoke between courses, so make sure you... More

The food was very good for Cuban fare, the table mostly picked the Cuban meat plate of traditional preparation or the grilled lobster, both quite good. This restaurant is one in what was a guesthouse in a lodge motif on the estate of Onelia Mendez and Jose Iturrioz a leading businessman of Cardenas which was confiscated during the Revolution and... LaCampana is a neat little restaurant in a stone cottage-like building tucked atop the hill in Josone Park with a very rustic feel and delicious food. My wife and I stopped here for lunch during a day-walk in Varadero and we will definitely be repeat customers. I had the "Cuban Food" option which featured two types of shredded beef (one... More

Ordered the lobster tail special that the two fellows advertising at the front of the park recommended. The meal was 'ok. Lobster was so overdone that I couldn't peel the tail out of the shell. Canned green beans on the side, but excellent beans and rice... until I found a staple (!) in my rice! It looked like a staple-gun... More

Awesome pork and Ropa Veja. This restaurant is in the heart of Josone Park next to Beatles Club. you will have to venture beyond and up the hill after entering the park.

This is a small restaurant for the locals and located in the Parque Josone right beside the Beetles Bar off of 1st Ave. We were drawn to it by one of the restaurant waiters who was placed at the entrance to the park with a menu to show. I was drawn in by the reasonable price of the set dinners... More
