Oh. My. God! This restaurant is going places. The food, the staff, the ambiance, the decor... It's an amazing discourse living up to the name expectations. Where to start? The food: fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned and skillfully cooked, generous portions that you won't be willing...to share. The drinks couldn't be better. I always struggle with micheladas and my fiancé takes his sangria very seriously, and we both agreed they were great. The desserts were to die for! The staff was very attentive, we even received a complementary drink. And last but not least my two personal recommendations: get the lechoncito mamón and get Carlos!!! Apart from the food and drinks he's the soul of the place. You will enjoy your meal times infinity. We'll definitely be back soon!More

Yes, maybe a little pricey, maybe a little touristy, but where else can you eat a suckling pig head? Service was a little slow, but it seemed regulars garnered more attention. They probably tip well...so tip well. The chummy atmosphere felt like a neighborhood restaurant,...so I didn't mind playing second fiddle. It was a good place to people-watch.More

This was the best meal we had in Havana during our trip, the staff’s English was very good and the menu had lots of choice. The menu wasn’t expensive but worth booking.

Al Carbon has a beautiful garden. The waitors are friendly (well, not on their look in the first place). Now come the TERRIBLE things. 1) They charge on EVERYTHING. Not only water, they charge on the dip, sauce, anything without telling you. 2) The price...on the menu is EURO. Well, everywhere else the price is on CUC. It's definitely cheating not charging on the standard unit as EURO is more expensive than CUC. The food taste is like average. I would not recommend this place at all. I felt like being cheated with the pricing. It's around 72 EURO for two people and with tips it's equivalent to around 95 CUC, for two entrees and a starter. Don't go if you can.More

Where do I start. The staff seemed un interested in us from the moment we walked in. After asking for menu and asking for our order to be taken we ordered Chicken and Rabbit. We like a glass of wine - but were not going...to pay $50 for a bottle very ordinary Chilean wine (nothing available by the glass). Eventually the dishes came; the chicken was undercooked and still raw inside - dangerous to eat. The staff didn't seem to want to take this seriously - we had to insist it be cooked more. The rabbit was ok but nothing more than Ok. No one apologised - the bill came with the full amount on it. The manager when we were leaving again seemed uninterested in what had happened.More

I ate at this restaurant recommended on my host's guide. I must say that he suggested me well. The place is good, clean and popular with many people. I give 4 stars only for the service because they made some confusion even if it can...happen. Recommended for those in the area!More

My mine came with char grilled veg and rice......both were cold! Not warm.....cold!!...Not what I expect but appreciate that us how they might serve it. I cant say I didn't enjoy it but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.More

This was the best meal I have had in a while from any restaurant anywhere. The gazpacho was the best I have ever had. Cuba has great fresh produce and the chefs really take advantage of it. The sword fish was cooked to perfection. Service...was great and the place was packed. Must eat here if you are in Havana.More

One of the privately owned restaurants that will not leave you hungry or disappointed. Service was, as always, impeccable. The wait staff is always at the ready to provide you with whatever you need. From the exotic drinks to the house specialities of grilled meats....Please don't forget to try the ceviche - it has to be one of the best dishes I have ever had anywhere. Finally forget the diet and indulge in any of the delicious deserts along with an authentic Cuban coffee. One of the best restaurants in the City.More

Honestly I can’t remember the exact prices but it is medium to high range - about $45 a head with wine. I know they’re open for dinner but not sure about lunch. Hope that helps. The chef has an even higher priced restaurant... More
