We found the best malanga here. There is another dish that makes us overjoyed - Arroz Primavera, which is actually fried rice with plantain chips. It's a kind of wet fried rice, like risotto (my fav.), and the chef knows how to use spices very...much, I love it! Finally, I highly recommend the fruit juice here, use a lot of fruit flesh, it tastes rich and fresh! veg-friendlyMore

And I am sure for dinner too! Creative menu, well prepared dishes, good prices, antiquey decor with high ceilings, nice and airy. Great staff. I'll return!

A lovely, small restaurant not far from the Malecon and Hotel Nacional. Very helpful staff and one of the few places we found good vegan food whist in Havana. Lovely cocktails and great plantain chips.

Excellent staff and cute place with solid breakfasts. We saw someone order what appeared to be a breakfast sandwich for takeaway: omelet w cheese and ham on a roll. So the next morning we ordered this and it was great. Should be on the menu!...I don't always need a huge juice-fruitsalad-coffee-eggs-ham-toast breakfast, sometimes a simple sandwich will do.More

Not a bad meal, but nothing special, the waiter was very attentive. Lots of tourists. We also stayed at the B and B upstairs it was ok. No WiFi.

The staff that work here are so friendly and helpful, most speak excellant English and the food was both great value and very tasty. I went in everyday for a coffee and a chat and learnt so much about getting around as a solo traveller....Oh by the way the best LatteMore

Actually found this place through trip advisor! We’re staying in a five star hotel in Havana but were really disappointed in the restaurants. So we decided to look for a cheap place to eat. The California cafe is very small, hidden away, but the food...is superb. I had the fajitas, my friends the curry. The staff were so friendly, full of helpful advice on what to do in Havana , and their English was excellent. There was a friendly, cosy ambiance about the place. Really relaxed. Will be eating there again!More

It is a little different and bijou. I felt that it was for more the younger generation (18-35). Excellent service and a great Mojito. The menu has some good choices and the food was good but for the same price you can get a higher...quality food in a more upmarket setting. It all depends on what atmosphere you are looking for. The staff were ultra friendly and the service was quick . The bruschetta was excellent .More
