Great tradition and super cool bar but food and service left something to be desired. Go for cocktails, atmosphere and have fun but save room for dinner elsewhere. Don't forget a selfie op with Hemingway at the bar before you leave.

We walked in at around 300pm for lunch. It was hot as hell outside. This place has two separate areas. The bar is loud and musical with simple tables and is really crowded. The dining room is like walking back 60 or so years. It still feels like 1958! The food is average. Not up to the place's reputation. However,... More

It's filled with tourists and tour buses pour in every 10 minutes but go for a drink, get your picture taken with Hemingway, take a quick look around and then leave for quieter, cheaper surroundings.

It was actually nothing special to see in this bar, except to take a photo of the Hemingway statue and have a Daquri drink. It was a local Cuban band there who played music as in many other bars.

This is a very very busy place. So popular that it made me nervous. This interior is fascinating but the food was average and rushed. Noisy. All that being said, not about eating, but going to a famous place in Havana

I visited simply because I still had time and Florida is home. Headed straight to the bar to order a take out Cuban and during my wait the live entertainment was great. Cubans definitely love dance and music and you can see it in their every move. A couple I met raved about this place and throughly enjoyed fresh cut... More

We reserved a table for dinner but the eating area doesn't have view on the musical group. The place is old, very old. Service is mediocre and wine forget it.

We stumbled upon this place on accident, even though it was on our list of places to visit. The place was packed so you have to wait for tables or a bar seat. The drinks were wonderful and it was fun to watch the bartenders make them. The food however is overpriced, small portioned and not very good. I would... More

THE place for daiquiris according to Hemingway - the man knew his drinks! A fun and lively place full of tourists like us trying to get their obligatory daiquiri while in the old town. The place was always crowded so if there is any such thing as off hours (not prime time lunch or dinner) it might be a little... More
