This is a "must stop" in Cuba, but not necessarily for the food. Stop in for a Daiquiri and to see where Hemingway hung out and wrote. There was some really good live music happening when I was there. The food is okay, but a little over priced. The service is average by Cuban standards, poor by American standards.

The bar, when busy, tries to only serve Daiquiris. Too busy to start mixing stuff. Great atmosphere! Don't be shy, if seats are empty most people will allow you to sit and join them. Great way to meet fellow travelers!

We had a lovely meal here when we visited Havana. There was plenty off it as well. It a very busy restaurant. There is a full size statue of Hemmingway leaning in the bar

We had walked by the bar a number of times and finally decided to go in.. It was very crowded and were lucky to get a seat at the bar. As luck would have it ,we were at the end of the bar where Hemingway's statue is.. We got to see many people come and pose with the statue ,... More

If you want to have the best drinks in Cuba ( more or less also WW ) Floridita is a must stop. The Bar where daiquiri was invented and which was daily visiited by Hemingway. The speed of serve is fast and you will not regret. Only Havana Club alcohol is used , so the quality is TOP. *The Disturbing... More

La Floridita. Hemingway's Daiquiri Bar. Both the name of the venue and of it's most famous patron are evocative of another age, another time, which after all is the vacuum of what Cuba remains today. Enjoy it now, as it's going to change within the next year. I spent a week at La Floridita this visit, some times more than... More

The place is well known because of Hemingway.Anyway, they still prepare an excellent daiquiri, but for double price than anywhere in Havana. If you visit Havana, you have to visit Floridita, but my advise is to do it late in the night, when is not so crowdwed and you can enjoy the place.

The ambiance of this restaurant/bar is incredible. An amazing throwback to the Ratpack era. Hemingway had it right. This was one of his favorite haunts. And yes, try a Daiquiri!
