Good food. Easy to get to. Staff is marginal. Not very attentive. Food was great and that is what makes us go back.

The restaurant is under a shelter, but you really feel like you are eating outside. There is a pretty veranda, but we haven't been able to eat there because it has always been full when we visited, even midday.
We stayed at Hotel Nacional and while walking in the area - slightly off the beaten track - we came across this restaurant. Stopped for a dinner and were so impressed that we returned the following afternoon for our very last meal in Cuba. Very...generous helpings of beautifully grilled meats (pork, beef, sausages), so succulent and flavoursome; plus refreshing frappe mojitos! Buzzing atmosphere (it seemed to be popular with locals), friendly and competent staff; and not much English - which adds a bit of ‘adventure’ and ‘anticipation’ to the whole experience and motivates one to start learning Spanish. Great - thank you!More
We enjoyed a meal here. The portions were extremely large. Our group of 4 had ribs and leg of lamb. It was all quite tasty. Every portion was huge; the leg of lamb was the biggest surprise being an entire front leg (3 attached pieces!!)....Nice location and nice place with good staff.More
Excellent location, behind Havana Libre, western corner. Can't imagine a more safe / secure / area of Havana. Staff do not speak english. They all appeared warm and cordial and kind, but communications are challenging. Prices are quite reasonable for Havana. I had a few...stops. The first had me raving 5 Star ...... the third? The pork was quite "tired". Salads in Cuba are pretty much a concept thing. 1/2 tomato, few lettuce leaves, few slices of cucumber, sprinkling of fresh beans and for seasonings? vinegar, cooking oil and salt. Pricing? Close to the main meal. You have to keep reminding yourself that this is Cuba. The thing I did not much like. Live music and blenders crunching away at ice cocktails. Noise noise noise. You have to keep reminding yourself that this is Cuba.More
The food was very tasty but the rice was cold. The place was very different , love the decorations, the bathroom was clean and the staff where on top of their tables wich is very unlikely of cuba service. The prices where acceptable.
We dined here on our first night because it was close to our "Casa" and then went back one more time. For Cuba, it's not cheap but I think the prices are fair and the food is very good. They have a special board every...evening which varies with the availability of whatever type of meat. Seems like the best deals are on the board. They have a good mojito and they don't skimp on the rum. The staff is friendly and they seem to appreciate your business.More
The food and service is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable too. I could eat here everyday while in Verdado / Havana.
After seeing this place on diners, drive ins and dives me and my girlfriend decided to try it out. If you visit Havana this restaurant is a must, it's a little bit of a walk from the main tourist hub but the pork ribs are...amazing!!! The service we recieved was great and the waiter serving seemed very genuine, the cocktails were brilliant and we agreed the mojitos were the best we had the whole 10 days we spent in cuba. There area is also nice and it makes a change from the hotel areas constantly being pestered by people trying to sell you stuff.More
Best restaurant in all Havana. Great service (which is rare in Cuba) and amazing food. Thanks Henry.
After trying to find where to eat , we found La Paila paladar. The place is excellent, the food is wonderful, the price are reasonable. Our server was super nice and professional, her name is Zenia. Thank you! I strong recommend the place Cons: The...access of the place is through an stair. I am not sure if handicap entrance is available . Otherwise, wonderful place !!More
A very nice place in the center of Vedado, right next to the Havana Libre Hotel. A very tasty Cuban food and an excellent service.
We were the only people eating in the middle of the afternoon BUT it was a good experience - walking distance to National Hotel (about 8 blocks). The chickens wandering the floor were well-behaved and the food was good. It is open-air but covered which...was perfect the day we were there.More
In this place, you can enjoy the greates Mojitos of the world!!!!, the new style of Frape Mojito is amazing
Had an amazing meal, the ribs were out of this world, cocktails were very good and the staff very friendly. The food and cocktails are excellent value and well worth every penny. We will be returning tomorrow night to try some more of they delicious...food and cocktails.More
