The restaurant's outdoor dining area with its well-stocked bar provided a very pleasant atmosphere for dining with friends. I thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine and the prompt staff kept everything in good order. Melen Club is located on a quiet street in Miramar.

Both times our group had an amazing lunch. The drinks are great and the food is very good. A nice variety of dishes. I was so happy when we turned up here for lunch on this trip. A nice surprise.

Our travel group stopped at the Melen Club for a lively lunch & an afternoon of instruction & play with a local Domino group. The food was excellent, but the Domino players made this one of my favorite stops for interpersonal relations in Cuba. It was fun & educational. We even got to help the band play during the meal. That was fun too.

Our tour group stopped for lunch here. Servers were great, fruits fresh & safe to eat, drinks prompt & refreshing. Most in our group didnt care much for the food. Many had swordfish steak or shrimp in sauce with family style potatoes, rice & salad. The portions were huge for most of us. The setting in an outdoor patio with umbrellas, lush greenery & musicians playing (and selling CDs) was pleasant

Over almost three weeks staying in an apartment 50 metres from this place I visited a few times, mainly because it was the closest place to watch world cup games and because it was good to stop off for a quick nightcap. Other than this there is no reason at all to visit. The food is mediocre, the service is poor and there is no atmosphere. It is not cheap either. The garden was very nice, the internal decor was modern and very presentable however with the exception of one waitress who was always cheerful the staff were miserable and grumpy. Probably explains why it was nearly always bereft of clientele regardless of what time I visited.

We went late at night for a business cocktails. The place was nice and cozy, very good service and the drinks were excellent. Except for the angry-looking bartender, the waitresses were kind and solicitous. I recommend the outside area and the mojitos.

100% must visit!! This place is amazing!! Dinner and two cocktails costs less than $30 CUC and the second time we went was about $35 CUC. Great size meals, great tasting cocktails, amazing staff. A must visit. Just don’t go too early as Cubans have dinner from 9pm. Do yourself a favour and go here

We visited the Melon Club on our people-to-people cultural exchange tour with the Grand Circle Foundation. The bar is a social club for local domino players. They serve lunch and teach the tour group members to play "double-nine" dominoes. The outdoor patio is very charming, and a perfect setting for lunch and the dominoes instruction afterwards. The food was excellent, the conversation was warm and friendly, and the instruction on how to play "double-nine" dominoes was very informative and highly entertaining. What a great afternoon!

This is a social club for domino players and they serve lunch and teach people to play dominoes. The setting is quite lovely and the players are fluent in English. They first explained the game to us and gave us written instructions. Then they sat with us for a nice lunch and general conversation. Afterwards they supervised our play of dominoes and it was a grand time. We all enjoyed a great afternoon and learned a lot about the people and the game.

Arrived there like at 11pm with the idea of getting pre-drinks so I could continue my way bar hopping through Miramar area in a warm Havana Night, I was amazed by the decoration around the first Bar Inside, music was good and from what I could see mostly artist , designers, musicians and hipsters gather to release stress of a busy week at work in Havana. There is Art all over the place inside. I went to the Patio and ask for a whiskey red label Jhonny Walker, great customer service, the bar tender was a nice and polite so the rest of the crew all the way to the lady seating by the restroom. Great atmosphere and the most healthy, classy place in Miramar. One thing they didn't have was a Cuban Cigar to go with my Whiskey.Having No Cigars at a Bar in Havana is like eating your french fries without Ketchup...so that way you know french fries go with Ketchup,,not with another different souce KETCHUP, like Las Ketchup the Spanish girls that use to play that song Asereje back in 2002. Exactly, great experience and nothing to fear any Bar from Wynwood or Midtown area in Miami.

We came here with the Grand Circle tour. The food was very good - also was the entertainment- they had a few of us come up to play some percussion instruments.
Then we were taught all about dominos and played for a little while.
Afterwards they were selling sets of dominos. I bought 1 for 20 CUC but later found better and cheaper ones at the artisan market.
I would come back here but not succumb to buying anything.

Helen Club is a private club located in the Miramar section of Havana. It specializing in food and dominoes. Lunch here was quite tasty with wonderful sauces, kabobs, and typical Cuban food. All food was hot and tasty. Waitstaff was wonderful serving Mojitos and adding rum. The live entertainment was excellent and included many of our group in the performance. We were lucky to have the domino instructors eating lunch with us. When we were done they instructed us in the game. They used 9 dot dominos instead of the 6 dot dominoes I play in the States. The games were a hoot and I loved winning. This was one of my most favorite experiences in Cuba.
