The fish carpaccio I had was lovely, as was my main meal of pork in a curry sauce. The sides of vegetables and spiced rice with nuts were incredible. Also, when the staff tells you that the chocolate is the speciality of the house LISTEN TO THEM - oh, my, goodness..... I am still thinking about it!

Very enjoyable setting , right next to Fabrica de Arte . We are at the rooftop . Good food ( we are not talking culinary experience here ) , good drinks and service . The bar inside the tower is super cool if you are not afraid of heights. The sunset lighting gives it a very romantic feel and it's... More

It isn't a short journey from Havana Vieja to get to El Cocinero and when you get there it is a surprise. As said in a previous review it is not cuban in the slightest. There isn't really much in the way of views from the roof but the roof space is quite pleasant (Bose speakers and all - so... More

Was expecting more from the food here, our seafood was overcooked and the gazpacho like dirty water. I did like the lamb with spices dish... otherwise all the food was very plain and lacked any seasoning. The location is beautiful, we ate on the rooftop and the bar is on the tippy top, that is fine. More for atmosphere. We... More

Vibrant and beautiful rooftop casual dining. Our server was attentive and courteous. Great drinks.Menu had variety of food selection and was very good and reasonable. We ordered a few extra dishes and shared. Go to the very top and have a drink at the bar. Reservation recommended.

We had reservations for the roof top but got bumped to the lower level. Food was cold, uninspired . The waitstaff ignored us most of the night. Dinner for 2 was about $100 which was a shame because the food was not worth it.

The main thing about this restaurant is that it is a really beautiful environment and right next door to FAC. We were lucky to get in, because reservations are required. Be careful on the black metal stairs up to the bar area, I slipped on the way down because they were wet after a small shower. No fault of the... More

Located in an old cooking oil factory and near an art gallery, this is a funky restaurant that's easy to spot by the smokestack.. We ate on the lower terrace which provided spectacular views of the smokestack. The food was very good (I'd recommend the lobster) and they made a good mojito. The service was good and unrushed. After dinner... More

El cocinero is adjacent to the very popular FAC, serving great food in an open air environment with good music and drinks. It's not an authentic Cuban experience, and felt more like being at a warehouse party in Brooklyn, but was likely one of our best nights in Havana. As with any restaurant in Cuba, need to make reservations.
