Easily the most expensive meal of the holiday, but what a place. We had noticed it a couple of times and been enthralled by the interesting interior, although the upstairs room where we ate could not be seen from the street. The floor, and particularly...the walls and ceiling, were covered in various artefacts, clocks, vintage adverts and old photographs, mainly of film stars. Both food and service were very good (although I do find it irritating when a waiter tries to take the bottle off you when you are pouring out the wine) and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal of Pumpkin Soup and Suckling Pig. The cost of the meal was exacerbated by the ridiculously high price for wine: $35 for a bottle of fairly ordinary red wine is much more than I would expect to pay in Europe, never mind Cuba.More
