A fantastic restaurant for a taste of Cuba in the heart of Havana with a twist. Being a vegetarian getting Cuban food that was good was somewhat challenging but Castas & Tal exceeded all my expectations. We ended up eating here twice in the three...days we were in Havana. My partner is a meat eater and also absolutely loved the food.More

Went here on our first night in Havana. we chose this place simply because as we were walking past it just had this real charm to it and looked like an authentic local restaurant. It's not hard to find if you are buying WIFI card...from the Hotel Deauville, big blue building on a corner of the Malecon the street that comes off the Malecon there is Galiano walk up it to the next corner and there you'll find this little gem. Very small inside , just enough room to 4 maybe 5 small tables but that's what makes it charming and inviting. The waiters here certainly know how to welcome the guests and also service the tables promptly. We really had no idea what the the food on the wall menu was but the waiter knew that an d with a laugh brought us an english menu. Guess they see us tourist from a mile away. Anyway with a menu we could read in hand I ordered a meat dish and my wife stuck with the chicken. Our meals came out in good time and the food looked really fresh and hot. My meal was a cubed pork dish with a spicey brown sauce and rice with a complimentry sides of fried plantains' and black beans. Wife's chicken looked rosted and had a red sauce on it and she had rice and same sides as me. Now the pork and chicken were well cooked and tender with plenty of flavor and the sides my of been complimentry but they were as good as the main part of the meal. In fact they were the best beans i've had. The sauce they were in was so good,More

We had a great "50yearsbirthday" lunch with 22 of my friends from The Netherlands @ Castas y tal @ Centro Habana, Cuba! This is the 4th time that I visited Cuba AND Castas Y Tal. The menu and the food are great. The staff is...really great! Great service! From the Netherlands communication is not so easy with Cuba. However, everything went great! Love this place and staff!More

The food was ok, but I liked the atmosphere and how the kitchen staff made original plates with almost nothing, as is so everywhere in Cuba. Hip and cool minimalistic interior.

We had several lunches or dinners at this cosy little restaurant. It is always full of people but you don’t need to make a reservation. Fish soup and carrot soup are good light starters. The chef is also talented in making sauces. Chicken goujons and...spicy malanga fritters had tasty sauces. I can recommend also the chicken with orange sauce. There is also wine and you can order a basquet of bread and butter. That is pleasant, sometimes you miss bread in Cuba.More

Please visit this refreshing corner of Havana!! Ate here during our stay in Havana. Price for 3 people was the equivalent of £25. The food was delicious and the waiters always happy to speak English and they also provide menus in English. Menu covers some...lovely food and it is exquisitely presented! Trendy little restaurant that is practically next to the Malecon as well as the hotel Deauville, which has good Wi-Fi access. It is a must in Havana! Easy to find once you have the right direction, as it is on a main street.More

When I go to Havana I always eat here. The food is consistently delicious and the staff speaks English. The prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is also conveniently located in Malecón. Right across the street is a hotel where there...are always taxis available if you need them. I highly recommend this restaurant.More
