Fall back plan worked out

We happened upon La Imprenta when our intended dining spot was full. The fallback plan worked out nicely. The food was hot and flavorful and the place had a nice ambiance. The service was okay, not great. On balance, well worth a visit.

Really beautiful place but beyond that is the classic paladar with nothing so special...normal mains but entrees and desserts are ridiculous and too expensive

we had been here a year before and had a good meal then, so went again to see if anything had changed. Nice lobster bisque to start, Pork for main well cooked and flavored. Nice old building drinks where good the only thing that spoilt it was the service was quiet slow considering that the place was only half full.... More

We went to this restaurant twice. The waiter on the first occasion was delightful and friendly... The good is great altho the menu is small. The house specialty soup is particularly to be recommended. The decor is stylish and the whole place has a feel of the way I suspect Havana is heading... Smarter but slightly less unique.

An absolutely delightful restaurant. Attractive surroundings, excellent food, super service, friendly staff, incredibly reasonable prices. Was so good at lunch we went back for dinner. Very highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere in this old print shop and the food and we had some of the best food that we tasted in Cuba. Staff were excellent and prices were very reasonable

We visited so many palodars (a restaurant in someones home) and really only had one that was exceptional. Most seemed, as this one did, that they wanted us ion and out too soon and the food was just ok.

We came here by chance after another restaurant claimed they didn't have our reservation. This is quite common in Cuba right now as more tourists arrive. We walked by La Imprenta and decided to give it a try. We had to wait a few minutes for a table but that was just enough time to look around the old details... More

La Imprenta has fierce competition in old Havana in the Mercaderes neighbourhood, and the fact that it is busy means that it has a following. Prices are, by North American standard, cheapish. Service is good - not obsequious or sullen. Portions decent. Atmosphere relaxed. Toilet very clean but pay attendant a tip.

We returned twice to this restaurant. The building was an old printing press and was restored which now a restaurant. The restaurant can gets busy and it is tricky to find a table in the evenings. The menu has Cuban dishes, snacks, pastries with affordable prices. The lamb dish was absolutely tasty. The cocktails, drinks and juices are a must.
