Not a bad place to grab a drink in Plaza de la Catedral if looking to avoid the crowds at La Bodeguita or waiting for a table at Done Eutimia or El Rum Rum.

El Patio had a very relaxing athmosphere specially the terrace facing the cathedral. It is a big pleasure there having a rest in the middle of a city tour, drinking Cuvan cervezas with delicious seafood, most dpecial with calamaris. Very very nice restaurant, a bit very busy by tourists if you visit at lunch time, but worth it.

Both the outside seats on the patio facing the square and the tables in the intimate courtyard are great. But it takes ages getting a drink or the food, had to go inside a couple of times to get it after e.g. waiting over 20 minutes for a beer having asked for it three times. There weren't many customers but... More

Had a very relaxed lunch here. Yes service is slow but we're on holiday and really enjoyed the ambience. Lovely music and pleasant waitress. Food was ok and good size portions, grilled fish with taro purée, two large fish and prawn skewers, a vegetable salad, cheesecake 4 mojitos and two beers, a large sparkling water, 2 coffees for €56.

For a place with such a great location, the food was less than mediocre. It lacked flavor and both the pork and the beef that my husband and I ordered was tough. This place could be great, but there's definitely a lack of quality in terms of the food. I would recommend if all you're interested in is dining in... More

I am surprised with so negative feedback. I had drinks and appetizers twice. I really like their mojitos and appetizers. The service was friendly and fast. The place is in a great location. Wonderful breeze while seating. Prices are lower than Bodeguita Del medio

With pleasant outdoor shaded area overlooking the cathedral, it's in a great location. Alas VERY slow service and disinterested staff. It seems quiet compared to the other venues in the old town, and it's clearly quiet for a reason.

This is one of those restaurants that are perfectly placed in the best possible spot. In Plaza de la Catedral, with the sun protection provided by arcade (and it is almost enough) and listening to real good Cuban musicians, the experience is great. The food does not reduce the experience.

The worst restaurant and the most expensive (cuban paradox, isn't it?) we had in our stay. If it isn't too late, don't go there! If you're seated, just take a bottle of water and run away!

Breath-taking and romantic location, this restaurant, that belongs to the Gov. , is in the city center in Plaza de la Catedral. We had dinner under old and beautiful arches having the opportunity to eat good food enjoying at the same time the view on some old colonial building and being in front of the old cathedral. Generous choice of... More
