The food at this lovely restaurant across the bay from Havana is as spectacular as the view. Great service. Elegant preparation. Moderate prices. Could NOT BE BETTER... Go for a relaxing lunch or for an elegant dinner before the 9 o'clock gun.

Wasn't sure what to expect while visiting Havana and having this scheduled lunch stop. To my very positive surprise, the food was very good and the service was polite, rapid and excellent. It would seem that everyone in the group really enjoyed the entree as...well as the main course and dessert. Couldn't ask for much more with a group of 42More

This restaurant was the one we went to on our overnight excursion to Havana from our resort in Santa Maria. It looked nice but stops there. The restroom had no water or toilet paper so we couldn't use it. Luckily I found a tap on...the lawn to wash my hands before eating. We had no choice in for food as it was prearranged. The food was mediocre and very little. I asked for a glass of water and was told they didn't have any. Really! Staff were not friendly and did not speak to us. I'd not go here by choice.More

We had lunch taking our time, because the place is worth it. The staff are true professionals, the chef and cooks are top ones, the location, by the water, and the views, are stunning.

This place is worth visiting for the views of Havana. The food was good - we had sandwiches at lunchtime on a hot day. Not a ingredients available so my daughter was disappointed with hers. Sweet potato crisps were delicious. A bit pricier than other...places in Havana but you are paying for a great view.More

We stopped in this restaurant during a two day trip to Havana. Food was tasty and was very like European. Desert was a mango mousse which was sooo good.

We went eating at this restaurant as part of the Havana tour. The place was clean, food was good. They don't really have a kid's menu (i went with my 5 years old and my 14 year old). My eldest ate everything while my little...one didn't eat much of the pasta. I would say it's not really a family restaurant. Overall good experience, Live band, service was fast, drinks were good. But what makes this place stand out the most is the setting, the decoration is beautiful, it's right across the ocean with Cannons.More

We visited here for lunch as part of an organised two day excursion to Havana. Looking at the previous reviews I had to double check the name as we had a beautiful meal in such an idyllic setting and 5* in comparison to the two...other restaurants we had to endure! Our meal was set as so often is when part of an excursion having a form of tuna salad as starter, fish for main to which was fresh and cooked to perfection! Staff were friendly and establishment clean. Not sure if we went on a good day or they have taken heed of previous comments however our party loved it!More

Typical state owned restaurant, awful food and awful service. We went as part of a tour before the cannon ceremony and cabaret show. One of our group was actually ill from the food and had to leave the show early. Luckily we had already eaten...and didnt eat a thing as it looked so bad! Please support the private restaurants and you in turn will get a great meal. State owned restaurants give Cuba a bad reputation for food which is not true. Please do your research.More

We visited this restaurant with a 40 person group. The arrangements were made far in advance. The setting is magical. The food is not, and may be down right dangerous. The service is exhausting. They do not understand the concept of "We will pay extra...for more drinks" Every dish they plunked down on our table was white and dairy based. The appetizer was small shrimp on a tuna can sized bed of cold spaghetti with mayonnaise. The entree was white fish on a bed of white rice and a white sauce. They had not prepared a separate choice for those allergic to fish. The dessert was rice pudding. Some people in our group never got dessert, and we never got coffee. My daughter got food poisoning or gastritis that was severe for 24 hours, then persisted on and off for days. I am sure the bill was at least $35 to $50 a person. What a waste. The selections did not seem typical of Cuba. There was a nice 6 to 8 piece orchestra. We got hundreds of photos with the sunset and the stone ramparts and huge cannons.More

My friend and I had lunch here on March 13, as part of a tour to Havana. I would not return to this location for the following reasons: 1. when I asked for water, it took three requests from me and others at our table...to get it 2. we were served a chicken breast so dry and tough it was inedible, on a bed of rice 3. buried in my salad was a live fly 4. they made sure not to offer coffee, tea etc and was told that they had NO water; but no apology 5. could not use the bathrooms--also because of NO water. They could have gotten water from the nearby ocean, to at least be able to flush the toilets!!!! I realize things happen, but the staff was so nonchalant about the whole thing, that I would not bother giving them my business again.More

We enjoyed an extremely well-prepared and excellent New Year's Eve dinner at this restaurant under new management with two new young chefs. As everyone notes this restaurant has a fantastic view back at the city of Havana. It is certainly worth the trip across the...bay to get this excellent view and to enjoy a gourmet meal as well. The duck was especially good. They have a particularly good wine list.More

La Divina Pastora is in the process of changing administration and they decided to cancel all the weddings planned in the future since April 01 2018, the wedding for April 6 got only 1 week notice. I got 1 month notice. if you cancel the...wedding they will keep the 50% of your deposit (1000 CUC deposit), but now they canceled all the weddings, and you get your 100 % deposit without any compensation. Can you imagine preparing your invitations, plan everything spending thousands of your money and 1 week before your wedding the venue canceling? So, don't celebrate your wedding in la divina pastora, is a high risk. No respect for clients, they don't care. This is not a private business, the employees are very nice but is not in there hands. Shame on la divina pastora and the people who runs that business.More

I think you said where is the building? It is across the harbor from the main part of Havana. You look out to sea, and Havana is to your left. (sinister?) You can go there just to see the view and the sunset. You can have a... More
