The food was very good, but some employee was smoking in the air conditioner area, we are not smoking people and the odor was all over the place.

Doctor Cafe is in the heart of Miramar on Calle 28 in between 1st and 3rd avenue. The location is very unassuming as it's in a very quiet residential street hidden away from the main avenues where the larger embassy buildings are. My wife and I went with a couple of friends who live in Miramar and were treated to... More

We visited in March 2104 at the halfway point of a varadero-havana-varadero vacation. About 8 cuc cab ride from the Hotel Nacional and well worth the visit. We had the concierge there call and get us a table, no problem. Nice fresh tomato/basil/cheese/balsamic reduction salad and bread. I had Venison, she had the Lobster. By far the best meal we... this small hidden gem is one of my faves. BBQ steak is insane. The mashed malanga is the best in the city. Very small and worth the search.

Best meal in havana by a mile, but also more expensive. Superb grilled food and friendly service. The lobster was delicious.

Sea food on the grill is the speciality here. I was impressed with the service as well as the food. Price was much better than I had expected and they even ended the meal with offer of a free rum! It is a little hard to find, as are many paladares but definitely worth looking for.

Dear Friends of ours took us to lunch at this amazing place. Don't worry about the entrance, once you are in, it is lovely, the proprietors, now Ada (a surgeon, and the daughter of the original Doctor!) and her husband, Miguel, are lovely. The food excels! Note the pictures of happy clients! Located in Miramar.

We went there for dinner as it had good review on our travel guide (rough guides). What a deception! We ordered lobster and chicken. Lobster was good but very simply prepared, just grilled, no sauce and no side dish (had to pay extra for it) quite boring, and they charged more than 20 CUC for it where anywhere else in... More

Been here several times and I consider it a "hidden gem" amongst restaurants in Havana. It ain't sexy, decor or location wise, but man, the food is delicious & FRESH!! Stay with the seafood for apps & main. I ALWAYS order the ceviche (fish, not crab) and the grilled octopus with garlic. If i don't like the fish(es) that they... More

This is without any doubt the best option to spend some time and delight yourself with the yummiest food in a perfect environment with any company and ocassion!!! Ideal for couples, families and also company meetings. Reservations are not needed but I recommended because the place is usually full.
